Mask tutorial NEEDED

Nice work there mate and especially for a first time too....As you rightly said the damage isn't too bad and it's in a section that shoould be covered by the dreads....When you come to reapir it use the same plaster you used for the mold....Soak the mold in a bucket remove the mold and then mix up a small batch of plaster next take a small chip brus and paint the new plaster into the to mold < not on the inside just edges of the part that needs repairing> next you need to press the sections together until the plaster starts curing...Once it's cured I would mix up a thickj batch of plaster and take the plaste bandages and apply to the back of the mold...This will re-inforce the section that broke away....Hope this helps out mate.

Hi people,
I´m a back from the holiday and I finished my mask

Last weekend I puted together the mold and fix it with tape and cover it with plastic bag.
Because it was hard to open mold during creating it, it left many scratches and holes on the end of mold.
So I needed to fill it - I did it with clay (still water based).
You can see this process on three photos.

Then, in the evening I filled mold with 60% natural latex (it took about 13kg ) - it´s a little bit different material, than you´re useing in USA.
I covered neck hole with plastic bag, because I did it at kitchen and it stinked very, very much :)
I left it cure overnight and in the noon I pour off it (it was about 15 hours).
It left thick layer of latex in the mold, which I left cure aboout a week (from last sSunday till today).

Today, I opened mold and put out the mask.
I didn´t expected a good result of my first work, but I was very surprised!
Only one bad thing is with mounth skin ... I sculpted it very thin and it was problem to get clay out of the mold.
So, it was happend what I´ve expected - this part isn´t good ...
But whole mask is good I think ... it can looks great with some repairs!

So, now I need your help again - what do you think? is there any way to repair mouth? how?

Thanks for your help and comments

Thanks.

So, I found that there were a lot of clay in the mounth part of the mold which blocked latex to reach to the end of the mounth part.
Today I got it off and I´m waiting for mold do dry (after wash).
Then I´ll do another mask.

So, about a few days I´ll post my next try :)
