Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I don't know which was more disappointing: That Hand was not Hydra or that Ward is.

As for riding the coat tails to some extent they were always going to do that. But I have always thought the show was closer to the day to day stuff and the movies the headline act.

Must say I have not in a long time found myself on the actual edge of my seat for a tv show but this one did it. One thing I am let down by is that I saw the very finaql turn at the end of the show coming from the mid way point of the episode. It was easily obvious to me and was very let down when it happened.

Not a fan of his character from the get go no biggie either way. The other thing was when Coulson called out Paxton right there right then. How about keeping quiet then telling the others and grab him then.

Tipper was when skye gave him all the important info and said it would be safer for him to have it. Then the biggest give away was " hey let me go along I really want to make sure he is gone " insert fart sounds.....completely obvious give away.

I enjoy being surprised by shows I like but then go the obvious route with " hey let me go along I really hate him " that is a big let down.

overall like I said it was an edge of the seater for me

The most interesting route would be that he really is HYDRA... I mean, it would be kind of bold to take a series regular and do that.

However, I'm guessing he's going deep undercover and that Hand and the other agents were just shot with one of the various trick bullets. I mean, they put a heavy emphasis on the different "safe" bullets this episode and the last...

I love this show!

That was a great hour of TV. It was fairly predictable but I enjoyed it anyway. I agree about Ward.

Might believe that theory if he did not go with headshots on the 2 agents besides Hand. Not sure how they trick shot that and the blood from Hand?

Interesting theory though. Then again you may be quite right. Looking back Paxton did have a surprised look on his face and Hand did give ward the weapon but that would be one fast plan to get together in little time.

As mentioned not a fan of ward in any way so he would make a good villain. But then again what about him and Skye.

It is good to have many things to think about with the show rather than little. I enjoy the show.

I wouldn't mind jettisoning some of the cast. Ward is like a bad soap opera actor. Overall, I think they did a good job of tying the two together. I thought it would have been cool to have the bus fly in during the movie and take out some of the Hydra agents.

What a come back!!!

Too bad it was all jam pack toward the end of the season but it was fun :)

I haven`t seen Winter Soldier yet so it kinda sucked to have some stuff spoiled...

Fine tie-in to the film. But yeah, I picked up on Ward when he volunteered for escort duty. (As should Hand and Coulson. Everyone that Garret trained should have been suspect.)

Reading between the lines of what the showrunners are saying, it might be likely that Ward is under a sort of brainwashing like the Winter Soldier. Then he'll get a redemption storyline down the road, probably in the season finale or something.

I'm wondering if Ward still has the hard drive with all of the ship's information on it. Skye gave it to him for safekeeping. I like to think she noticed something off about him when he was asking her out, so she kissed him and took the hard drive back. I hope he stays a bad guy too, I've never liked him.

So... last night's episode was a definite improvement and glad to see it's stepping in the right direction. Jury's still out on whether it'll be a good series though, there were still some eye-rolling moments last night, notably the scene between Ward and Skye (hoping they kill off Ward by season end, PLEASE pretty please). Some of the twists were pretty predictable as people said, though I did not see Garrett coming but glad to see this'll make him more of a regular at least through the rest of the season. The Hand twist seemed like they threw it in for the sake of having more twists. I really doubt Garrett is the Clairvoyant, so I'm considering that still an open question (Zola anyone?). Going forward, I'd like to see them take the fight to Hydra rather than spend the rest of the season hiding and surviving.

Btw wasn't the fan theory that we'd see Black Widow or another MCU cameo in last night's episode? Guess they're saving that for later. I know SLJ is going to be in the season finale but seemed like someone else from the films was going to make an appearance. Hawkeye would make the most sense, he was MIA in TWS, wonder if that's the cameo.

My thought is that Ward's the double-agent thing. I don't think he actually killed Hand (seems to early in the show to kill her off and she's a heavy-hitter in SHIELD in the comics and a major potential future antagonist), but somehow they faked that. I'm not sure how she'd extract safely if that's the case, but it's possible. It just seemed odd for her to suddenly invite Ward to kill Garrett if it wasn't a setup to get Ward inside.

I thought it was great!! It's probably going to be another week or so before I brave a theater to see TWS so I hope I am not being spoiled too badly.

Yeah, the show has definitely picked up a bit with the Hydra storyline. Ward's turn was a bit surprising but it all makes sense now. Hopefully we don't need to deal with the whole Ward-Skye relationship for too much longer...ugh.
