Mark 43 Iron Man Suit FIRST LOOK!!

After some thought, I don't really mind they haven't changed their looks all that much. Think about how many new characters they're introducing - Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Ultron (and his different versions and drones). They're also showcasing the Hulkbuster suit and a new Quinjet. To be fair Cap and Hawkeye's suits are major overhauls and they also re-did BW's. I think that's plenty of design work to juggle around.

The design is still similar though. Hands. Feet. Helmet. Bicep designs. There are plenty of differences if you look side by side. But the general looks are still there. You cant say mk 3 and 6 are as different as the silver centurian and heartbreaker. Thats what I was getting at. Different? Yeh. Very different? I dont think so. You can tell theyre modified from each other. Like if you showed them to a child. One day apart. They may not tell the difference. If that makes sense.

I went to Legacy F/X studio last week and saw all of the real iron man suits in person... They had Iron Man pieces and parts all over the place on everyone's desk... It was SO cool... Saw Shredder's helmet too from TMNT... But i couldn't take pics...

These colors seem kinda the reverse of the mk 42. Most of the things that were red are now gold and the opposite.
Do you think that they might make the helmet faceplate red?

No, the 43's helmet color scheme hasn't changed from the 42's. The older AoU set photo confirms this.

I would say to use the same red color as Mark 42, but then again, the Mark 43 red and cream look a little darker...I would say the colors have slightly changed to the cooler side of their color schemes. (That's my opinion anyways)

Yeah I agree, idk if that's Ultron or one of his drones, but it's probably the same thing (same material)

On the topic of the similar suits, the Marks II and III shared the exact same design, but with a different paint job. And the marks IV and VI was pretty much identical save for the chestplates. I quite like the mark 43 paint job, although I can't decide whether or not I prefer it to the mark 42 colour scheme. I'll be tackling a fully-functional, folding mark 42/43 once I finish my custom Mark 4.5 suit and then my folding backpack suit (ripoff of the mk.v)

Those illustrations are from The Art of Iron Man 3 book. I wouldnt take those illustrations as movie-accurate gospel, because they show lots of concepts in the books that never make it into the movies. But the books are great references for marvel fans and cosplayers, they show details about the making of the costumes, sets, props etc.


if you don't have these books, i highly recommend them...I own the books for iron man, 2, 3, avengers, and winter soldier. They are really really cool. And the book for GOTG is coming out next week.

Definitely not official, that's a Mk42 concept photoshopped with the 43's color scheme. The closest actual concept art released that looks like the 43 is this Mk42 concept from the Art of IM3 book. However there are still differences between below and the final Mk43.
