Mandalorian visor tint trouble

I have an NME Stalker helmet and I got a face shield from Harbor Freight. I cut it into shape and I cannot for the life of me put the mirror film tint from Lowes I got on it properly. I am now wondering if the visor is too curved as it goes down vertically to the bottom. I am going to Dragon Con and taking an 11 hour road trip to Atlanta tomorrow morning. Unless there is a quick alternative I am not sure what I can do

Anyone have any advice whatsoever?

When I was looking up desert punk stuff, they suggested doing the mirrored tint in strips, not in large pieces (the character's head it like a mirrored fish bowl).

if you're trying to cut out a mirrored shape the same size and shape as the visor, I'd suggest giving it a shot laying on one strip at a time (2 inches wide or so) across it. may adhere better in bits.

failing that, there's always temporary automotive tinting. It won't be mirrored, but it'll be something other than a clear visor.

Won't you see each individual strip that way? The lines between them of the edges?

Potentially/minorly. You do overlap each strip on top of the other so there's no "non tinted" space between them. Sorry, forgot that part when I described it above.
