New character poster - is the upper rear bit on the blaster one of the generic 4x20 scopes used on the Deathtrooper SE-14r cut at a 45 degree angle?

I love the new look too.

The blaster (I want one now), being a MK V - the grip doesn't seem to match. The entire back half of the flare gun looks like one cast piece, but in the show the grip area looks more like a frame.

The upper parts have got to be gun parts re-purposed just like the nut, Parts of SW is working on it too.

could be, that's just over 4 feet.

Looks to be a whole new gun; not the flare gun/rifle.

it's the same one we've seen another character use in a previous episode. (see the links in the quote below)

the side shot looks like it's the same one that harrisonp snagged for the other thread it came up.

I dig it. I liked Koresh's gun when I saw it, and I thought it looked good when fett was gunslinging. so I'm content with the new look :p

I should have been clearer, I was discussing the product this new blaster is based off of, the US Navy MK V flare pistol. The mid-barrel hinge, trigger (without the hole) and the rear receiver match, but the handle itself is different.
Gun, flare - Sedgley Signal Pistol Mark 5

So Hasbro is making this... says its 50" long. Does that sound like close to the right length?

First prop thread I found for the rifle over at dented helmet had the rifle prop at 68" long. So I'm betting this nerf one is WAY short at 50"

Ah, gotcha. We may be into the territory where there is no found part to use, or no way to convert the "original" into the prop, because the Mandalorian is doing all the guns in CAD, and simply basing them off some real world inspiration.

Based on the Sideshow Premium Format statue, 50" seems too small. Brendan Wayne (performance actor) is 6'. I would guess it should be closer to 60". 68" seems a bit too long.

This is what is stated on HasbroPulse about the Pulse Rifle...

At 50.25” inches long, this is the longest Nerf blaster we’ve ever done, and doing this blaster justice starts with getting the sculpt and deco right. Designed at 1:1 scale with details inspired directly from The Mandalorian series, our team spent months in development making sure we got the look just right for Mandalorian and Nerf fans alike.

  • True-to-show wood-textured stock with inlaid bracket
  • Inspired gold-colored vacuum-metalized details
  • Meticulous battle wear details and weathered deco throughout
  • Incredible 50.25” long from the stock to the “scorched” deco prongs

Replacing/extending the barrel would be a pretty easy mod if the rest of it has the right proportions. The detail looks great for the price.

This is the standee - erred on the side of underestimating here as the boot soles are still included (though if the image is Pedro and not one of the doubles, it's probably closer given he is 5'11)

That's pretty much what I told my son. I have my order in with HasbroPulse. I'm hoping that Target sells it. Then I can get an extra 5% off and if it doesn't look right size-wise I can return it easily enough with no out-of-pocket cost.

From Brian Matyas IG: Mando's blaster. With exploration of a lot of different pistol grips. They gave me a lot of freedom to design his blaster and it felt appropriate that it would be both Star Wars and inherently western. Flipping through a history of firearms book I came across the Bergmann model 1896, a short-nosed variant of the earlier mo1894. When I discovered that weapon it was too perfect. Really just a few greebley bits and a different muzzle and grip set it apart from the original.

I’m so so so crazy excited. Check this out, it just came out today. It’s the only official close up photo I’ve seen released!

What BRAND are those boots? I need to buy some!

it's a pattern I'm finding on "snow boots" more often than not. I'm not in a position to go trawling the internet for the ones with the sole that matches, but I'd start there. lots from deluth trading company with that pattern too.

maybe also "duck boot". that stripped pattern is a common addition to waterproof types of work boots (hence also for snow, and duck hunting).
