While I really enjoyed the explanations for his suit, the belt, the tumbler, etc. in Begins, I was even more impressed with them showing the psychology of Batman - why he chose his image and the effect that it has on criminals. I guess I kind of hoped he'd go even more towards the "Bat" look, and away from the tech look. Getting a good look at the suit kind of ruins the effect, in the fictional sense, you know? Maybe if he wore some kind of spandex/skin OVER the armor, it'd be a nice effect. I don't know... I don't love or hate this though.

I, too, like a simpler look but if they must continue going in this direction then this looks good to me in that vein.

'bout time he can turn his head. That was the worst thing about the previous suits.

Too bad there's little truth in the comment. The costume was not spandex and the ears were not vinyl :lol

Besides, Superman can beat up Batman :wacko

More the heart of the message than the details. Besides, I was shocked to find myself agreeing with 0neiros for once.

And if Batman's got kryptonite in-hand and doesn't get blitzed by Superman then he can win the fight (Yes, I know there's a lot of "if" in that)

The batsuit in the last film looked pretty bad in early promo photos, it really wasn't until you saw it in the context of the film, and how the costume evolved and became a fun and interesting element to the story that you really learned to appreciate it. I agree that in this photo the suit looks too busy to me, but I'm guessing in the context ofthe film it'll work brilliantly. CAN'T FRIGGIN WAIT!!

Even the Tumbler took a while to grow on me... I know a lot of people still dislike it, but it's a mean piece of machinery IMO... And for those wondering: Yes, the Tumbler will be in TDK as well!

looks like a move in the right direction to me. There were a few things about the other costume I wasn't too fond of, the clasps, the glove-to-gauntlet set up, the thick neck...I like it.....

Well, if I have to face someone with guns and stuff like that I think I would use a sort of armor, instead of a spandex suit... But that's just me

I'm not a big Batman fan either, but this looks cool. Yes, it looks like paintball/motocross armor, but I think it works. Its a departure from the "realistic muscle suits" that get old after a while.

My thoughts exactly.
I undertsand the the spandex doesn't work well in real life. If he were "real" he would need armor that's a given. But making it look like muscles? That has always been my problem with all the batsuits in the past. This LOOKS like ARMOR! He looks well protected and built in such a way where he can remain agile. In my opinion, this is the best suit yet! :thumbsup

Ha! You're right. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have much time in the next 18 years, anyway.

Mimi was talking about how un-Batman it looked, and I reminded her this is what I put on to go down the street to get groceries...

...so it doesn't seem that unlikely that you'd want at least as much armor on when you're fighting crime.

Actually I'm lovin the suit. Looks nice and dark and has a Keaton-ish feel to it.........love the head turning aspect of the cowl. Always wondered why they didn't make that work better. Bale makes a great "dark " Batman and in my opinion, Batman can never be too dark!!!

I removed the posts that had nothing to do with the suit. If you don't like it, you don't like it. If you don't like that someone doesn't like it, maybe try to not care so much what others think. Just a suggestion...

I think the suit is fine, although I agree some parts are a little too overdone. It's like SWATman with bat ears. But when he's running around in the dark, it should be hard to make out all of those details anyway, so maybe in the end, it wont look as busy on screen.
