Not to mention post production. Who knows if their going to use CGI on the suit like Green Lantern.
I hope that pic is a fake.I try to explain to you. When I was between 4-6 years old, my father introduced me to Superman comics. It was that time where Curt Swan, John Byrne and Dan Juergens drew Superman. Dec 1978 was when Superman the movie came out and my birthyear, so I was just too young to see it on screen, I was just entering the new world. Later my dad rented all the videos from Superman I-IV (fortunately I forgot most of IV). Nevertheless, Chris Reeve was the pure embodiement of Superman I saw in the comics and in the movies. It was like he was breaking the fourth wall and came to life. I believed that a man could fly. It made a profound and deep impression of how Superman should be, he used his brain instead of brawns. He is kind and helpful. He is a hope of overcoming our human shortcomings. That's why this image of Reeve's Superman portrayal made such a long lasting impression into the cultural consciousness of how Superman acts and behaves.
The poster actually looks good - the other photos, not so… :unsure
Not laziness, but if Synder is all about show and no substance like Watchmen, I would say that the Superman franchise died of greediness after Superman II.
I would say the comics may be relevant judging by this costume and the re launch costume. And I would rather see a Superman that is in his late thirties or maybe a Kingdom Come or Red Son adaptation, but that doesn't mean I think this Superman would not save babies or rescue people from fires. Let's see what Cavill does with the material he's given.
I really like the lighter blue.
He needs red shorts.
I prefer THIS suit design to any of the hokey mods seen on these pages. Sorry if i offend, but they come across as camp, indulgent and slightly arrogant.

The arrogance comes from the whole, "i can do better" ethos. So experimenting with the design just for the fun of it and for the sake of discussion yields something indulgent and arrogant?
I think you're reading something into it that isn't there.
