Magneto First Class Helmet Modded!

Hello everyone, this is the making of my Magneto First Class Helmet Modded!

Check out the first pics of the build, I started with the PEP file
then some Resin with Fiber glass, some Paper Clay and Bondo.

After that I did a lot of sanding, lots of sanding like most of us do, I filled some gaps and holes with more Bondo for the final detail.

Then I started working on the horns, these appear at the end of the First Class Movie, I change them a bit you'll see why on the next post.

First spray of primer! By this time I was getting to see some good resultslol

PAINT FINALLY!! This is the color Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) uses at the end when he picks up Emma Frost from Jail. I used H of K paint for this helmet.

Now this is what it looked at finished with the first coat of clear I sprayed, I didn't really liked the clear coat look from the H of K paint I used so I asked my friend that works at a body shop to clear coat it for me.

I went back to the horns/ornament at the forehead of the helmet, they seamed a little too long so I modified them and make them shorter.

And well, finished after about 3 monthslollollollol

Looks great i was wondering did you make the horns yourselfor do you have the pep file for them? I am making one and that the final peice i need.

OBI WAN KENOB1= I couldn't find a PEP file for the horns so I had to sculpt them out of foam, the kind they use to insert artificial flowers on, it wasn't that difficult since that material is very easy to sculpt.

Thats a great idea how did you seal it ? the same way you do the rest of the helmet?

Well for this horns after I was done sculpting it I sealed it with a bit of primer, otherwise the resin would have eat through it, when the primer dried then I final sealed it with resin, then bondo.
