The replicas are not worth it in my opinion. They don't come in the correct color and in order to get it look semi decent you'll have to buy two, one in black and one in tan. The black as the base and tan for the pouches. Even with all that modding the color is still incorrect and the mesh is way off.

Oddly, it looks like when they chopped up the triple mag panel, they separated all 3 before putting the left 2 back together.
On the other hand, they look fairly different in color to me. I'm curious whether they're different colors or one was much more weathered than the other.
Apparently there are 6 vests. You buy 4 triple mags, separate one pouch from each, then you have 4 double and 2 single sets = 6
Also, from the different pictures you can see the Condor pouches tend to un-snap and get loose.

hey guys does anyone know what pants max wears in fury road? To my knowledge he wears black leather pants similiar to those worn by Mel Gibson but I'm not too sure that it's true. They look nothing like leather but I may be mistaken, they may just be heavily weathered. Any answers are greatly appreciated

For those like me wondering about the scarf, in the picture above you can see tassels. So no rag, it´s a shemagh (black maybe?)
If you look closely in this picture you can see at the top of the condor puch on Tom Hardy´s waist, there seems to be a zip tie that goes horizontally (coming through a hole from inside the vest) holding it.

The single tan pouch on the right side is also torn apart. I think this is due to the pouches being cut in strips. The stitching probably broke off after awhile, possibly when it had mags in them.

I attend a Postapokalyptic LARP event next week and thought it would be nice to add some Fury Road- stuff on my Charakter....
well, now the only thing missing for a Full Costume would be pant, shirt, jacket and a ****load of Magazines and Ammunition to fill the pouches.
I used one of the cheap immitation Harnesses - cause i cant find a M83 that fast. Atleast the warrior pouches and Spec-Ops sheath are there. It is not the original Sheath but i was able to mod it. Maybe Later i can find a original Harness and swap the pouches. The two pistolmag-pouches at the Neck are just 3$ pouches i've ordered together with the Valsetz Boots... (they had only one Pair in Timber in the shop -> in my size -> and it was the only shop in my country that had them.... So there was no hesitation somehow
) the Leg Base Carrier for the Rotco Holster is also an immitation product but actually there is no real visilble diffrence except that the upper angles are a bit shorter on the one from Warrior.
the Disstress? Well... get yourself an Anglegrinder and grind the edges of each pouch
For the rest i used paint and Patin-Powder.

So I thought the two pouches on the left were both black, unless I missed something... I saw they were both black on the stunt double. Are we thinking one is black and one is tan now? Or could this just be one of the few vests they built for the movie?

It makes sense. The pictures that arlo posted show black, so are some pictures of Hardy and his stunt double. If there is a tan one then again probably left over tan pouches from when it was separated. There are 6 vest so some will be different depending on which scene.

I've noticed this about the buckle a while back and I could not find anything online that matched it. The end looks longer and more square like you mentioned but nothing from condor or other brands seem to match it. Maybe it was indeed from an older model?

Vodoo Tactical has that kind of buckle on one of it´s leg panels, so may be they matched and mixed or, as I think, an older model. On the HD pictures and under the rubber sleeve one can guess the more rounded buckle. Anyway, if one likes that buclke style, it can be bought from ITW.

Could you post a photo of the one you're referring to? I don't see any buckle ends of theirs that resemble it. I also thought maybe the buckle or strap was upside down but non still resemble it of any brand I've seen. From ITW it looks like this one is it...I think.

Here is a Condor leg rig with analog components using the square buckle.

By the way, Condor seems to be a very loose company in terms of QC. There are sometimes diferences in size, placement of the seams, proportions etc between the same product.
Ie: the position of the snap on the retaining strap on the holder. Sometimes is closer to de edge, sometimes is not.

Condor is a discount brand that makes products similar to those of the much, much more expensive "professional" grade manufacturers but at a fraction of the cost. Quality suffers as a result. Voodoo Tactical is even worse in that respect.
