Luna's Ultimate Spider-Man Build, Orhadar Print. [Pic Heavy]

This thread and your work has been such an inspiration for me! Thank you so much for going into the excruciating detail and taking pictures every step of the way.

For every task in my build, I find myself flipping back through your thread thinking "how did Lunaman do this part?" I hope my suit looks half as good as yours :)

Haha, thank you kindly, mate, that means a lot.

Amazing break down man! I don't know if this was asked already, just so many pages to go through, but how much did it all cost together? Process and materials?

Cheers

This information is literally at the top of the very first post on the very first page (it's within the first 3 sentences) but it cost around $600 all together. ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

Wow this was already a year ago? Great write up and pics Lunaman! I especially like the idea about using the micron pens to darken the webs. Thank you for the helpful tip. I'll remember that once I get my pattern from Orhadar and have it sent off to FOD.
so there was no bleeding when using those pens on the fabric?

Haha, still a couple months shy of a year! But yea, it's coming up. I'll (hopefully) have my next project done before then. Thanks for the compliments. :)

Yes, there's very little bleeding because of the density of the ink and fabric weave, but it certainly will stain through to the back of the fabric, which is why I tried to have a backing to draw on. If I were to do this suit again I would darken the weblines before the sewing, would have been much easier to handle.

How's the suit take being washed?
Have you washed the suit in a washing machine, with the mask?
The mask is more my main concern when comes to being washed due to the super glue and frames/lenses.
Would you just not wash the mask? Or hand wash the suit?

I hand wash the suit, it handles it fine. You can't put a suit like this in the washing machine because of the shoes and eyes. Just be gentle with it and use common sense. :)

Thanks luna, worried about putting my suit in the wash with the urethane rubber frames/lenses on them.
To be safe I'd just hand wash it. Thanks again :)

I wanted to make somewhat of the same suit do you have all the websites you used to get the material(fabric, lenses, etc.) because it looked like a cool project to do. You did a great job making it buy the way.
Cheers

Thanks for the compliments. All of the info needed for sourcing the parts is on the first page.

Thanks man! Love to see all the different things everyone tries with the same character.
Most definitely. That's one of the things I love about Spidey: that there are so many different takes on his appearance and suit and design over the years, but the core of who the character is has always remained constant and inspiring. :)

WoW very impressive man, you have inspired me to put a suit together of my own. I don't think I will look as good in mine as you do in your amazing suit though. Excellent work!
