Luke's Severed Hand Stunt Prop from ESB

It might be, you’d think you’d see the face bevel when looking at the front of the greeblie in that other photo. It also appears thicker than the greeblie sideways too.

I have now made the separate items available as well on my website. Enjoy!

I started the initial cobbling together of my build, over the weekend, in anticipation of the arrival of Roy’s kit…

I really do think the best name for this particular hilt should be The Junk Drawer Graflex since it’s apparent that it was slapped together using various leftover bobbles and greeblies found in the prop shop’s junk drawer (we all have at least one of these drawers in our garage, our shops/work spaces, or even our kitchens).

If someone can lay a caliper on one of those "rare" correct Kobolds, I can get replicas machined. Any takers?

but what is the correct kobold? is it just a silver kobold like this, or does those exist without the knurl and all?

Take another look at the bottom cap guys...I clearly see a "fat" bottom WITH knurling.

There is a Kobold variation out the with fat bottom/ NO knurl, which was used as one of Luke´s ANH DC´s...but I don´t think this variation was used here.

Regarding the knurling, I think we were talking about the knurling at the top of the flash that seem to be either turned down or missing. That's why I was asking if there was a variation I didn't know about without that knurling or if it was really turned down to fit or something.
Cheers

I don't think there's a variation without that knurling (at the top). I've never seen it and it wouldn't make sense from a design point of view of the Kobold. I think they milled it away because it might have been visually distracting.
