I definitely see the divot in the pommel. Also I think that is a collar, and I noticed that my first time watching that scene. Made sense to me, why not use the Mando stunts for this show too?

Can’t for the life of me decide if I see gold or not…

i got 2/3 shots of that gold neck scene... but when uploaded there weren't together let me try and organize them

I still havent really watched it yet but in my skimming through there is definitely a pommel hole in the final scene.

Also interesting to note that the saber is leaning against his thigh and is *not* clipped in so it’s hard to tell where that particular tri ring is.

Rings are even and seem thick: and the gold portion of the neck still seems rather short so: I think this is also a production made hilt at this point (and based on feedback channeled on the board from production norms regarding these)

i live for this stuff... thanks for youre advice today!

Apologies if this is off topic - I know this is all about the sabers - but I’d really like to find the fabric grogu’s armour came in. I’ve been searching all day but no joy yet. I like the idea of making a tiny chainmail shirt.

Looks like a quilting cotton to me.
Local fabric stores may still have ‘contemporary stock’ so… just go?

Online may not be good enough considering this is 1 year old not 40 and fabric stores (especially mom and pop stores and even Joanns or Hobby Lobby who stock common brands… brands with terrible websites and who’s catalogue is largely vague) that may not have an appropriate online catalogue.

Seriously I worked half a decade in fabric selling mostly quilting fabric with zero online footprint. Go in person and just look. Bring a photo to the old ladies and young fibers majors and they might know already. I swear this (could be) a common print

So.... tri-ring on the opposite side now? :D

It's clear it's quite different from the Mando Saber, like BBRogers said above, rings are ultra thick.

edit: my control box is too tall :D also my emitter and neck are still too long!

so there has been some talk going around that its a korbanth they used for the yoda, I am 100% confident they used a battle damage master replica, i believe these came out in 2005..

- noticed the battle damage on the hilt, especially above the activations which and to the right of it, they had to have some kind of pattern or tool to consistently make this, ive seen youtube videos and photos, the marks look identical on every one..

- the greeblie that holds the shroud to the hilt is silver on the MR, black of the battle damage MR, and gold on the korbanth

- the shroud has a some what smoke or scotch mark on the BD MR, just like on screen

- the green LED inside the 2 buttons sit up high and out of the button, korbanth and every other replica ive seen sit down inside the buttons

- thick knurling is identical...

- copy right logo is in the exact location of the ring on the bottom of the screen used hilt.. they either CGI'ed it away or threw it on the lathe and made a groove

the battle damage in the same location... same marks, seals the deal for me

I don’t think the tri-ring is actually seen in this photograph. I zoomed in on this frame on my computer and that triangle just looks like the light on Luke’s sleeve. I think the prop is just laying on his leg, and the tri-ring in in the same orientation as when he’s in the bamboo forest.
