Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber

Im going to chime in here, The lever is pretty thin on the left side of that bump section if in fact that bump is part of the lever, Im not going to reproduce that feature because I think that some people will break the lever if its made like that. It is possible that the original lever broke and they grafted a second lever on to the nub of the first lever producing that bump. The levers that I am making will have that same curve and look VERY CLOSE to the one in the black and white photo with the exception of the "bump" on the bottom. I will post a pic of a lever after one comes out of the cnc machine it shouldn't be too much longer.

That is what i am seeing too Scott, looks like they put one lever over the original. I'll have these today , hopfully they are the correct size because they sure as heck are the right shape.

Thats a cool looking lever I wonder how hard it will be to attach the pivot screw to it and if it has any "camming" action so it wont flop around when closed?

Yes vintage ski boot, i am expecting them to show up today if Fedex comes. If they match up i will post the info. Well ,i'll post either way. AND of coarse with all thing star wars super rare and from the 60's.

caz, not sure yet. If they are right they will have to be trimmed and the hole near the middle will need to be filed off like the original. I think i may have to file where the 'cam' would be also but i have no idea what it looks like in that area until i pop one open. Can't wait. Heck, it might be too big but i hope to know soon. IIRC, didn't the original also have an issue with flopping around? It may just be glued over the original and nothing actually going through the hole. When i was grabbing screenshots i swear the top detail can be see in some shots but i see stuff thats not there sometimes.

I did this real quick tonight... thinking about this darn thing more...

here's what I'm seeing:

thoughts?

That's what I was saying in the first place! glad it finally got across..(nice editing work :lol and yes that's what I see too)

and the ski boot thing? *high five! right on! I think the curvy buckle is on POSW as another piece in the movie

If you mean the blaster trigger then i think it is different. These don't have the curve at the end. That was on my mind too..

Well, i am too tired to mess with this much tonight. I need more dremel cutoff wheels too to get the original lever to tuck in more. I'm sure this gives you the idea of where i am going. Whether this is what they used, i don't know, what i do know is it is the closest thing i have found to the shape of it and once modded will look pretty darn good. It's what i am going with. I flipped the original lever upside down and it is exactly the same width as the inside of this lever. It is also the exact same size as the pic we have. I need to remove the lip off the original lever and either cut a groove in it for the original screw part or try to figure out how they held the real one on because the clamp no longer has the graflex screw block. I am not sure what is in there and i need to try to figure that out as it will probably tell me how to mod this. Also i may need to cut it down to where the original ski buckle hole is and drill a new hole. This will make it sit so that the top also matches the lever. In one pic you can see the detail on the top and it looks the same as the boot lever but i need to cut it to the hole to get it to match. It's something i will play with when i have more brain power to devote to it. Boots are Semly ski boots made in the 60's. Only pics i found on the net are of the auction i got it from so as with all things star wars they are super rare. Please , no PM's asking to buy anything right at this point. I need to figure that out as i have buddies who are already asking. Thanks for understanding.

Here is what i have done tonight to check shape and size. Trying to hold it so the lever is under it and take pics did not work that great.

Here is the missing screw block, need to figure out what is in there holding the lever. Excuse the crap pic, i was not looking for a nice clean photo i was looking for shadows to determine details.

Yea, really close, nice work! I don't think there are two layers in the on screen version, bu I love what you're doing, keep it up!

That pic has confused me because you really don't see that much upturn in the black and white pic but it looks really turned in that shot. Once i round it off a bit i want to see how it looks from the side again. I need to grind the end down into more of a point like the MR shape looking from the top.

In the bottom picture, the close up of the Emperor holding the hilt, it looks like the head of your typical flathead screw.

Here is another pic, i was able to bend the end up just a little easily with pliers. It's much better now. Once the end is dressed i think it will look closer.

Problem with a majority of the boots is the levers are one peice and the bottoms all have the 'teeth' on them.
