Just had a big chat with Jim, some things have changed with the Taun that will be better for longevity. We've decided to go with silicone for both luke & the Taun as the Foam Latex has an unknown life span under the fur & what we would loose buy having it cast in silicone out ways the pro's of Latex. Hopefully the first batch arrives tomorrow & we should have a shot of Luke on the Taun by mid next week. The Fur tests will start this week as will the pattern's for the fur. Luke's head will be done the same as the Tauns ie: in resin, this is mainly to retain the detail over the years & the goggles will be cast as part of the head detail apart from the strap. The costume is a hybrid of both the live action & stop mo puppet, Kind of the best of both worlds really. Once the fur is sorted we will go ahead & cast the first silicone Taun with Armature inside ready for the saddle fabrication. I am really excited now as this will all start coming together pretty soon & I'll be closer to my dream display piece. Nice one Jim speak soon mate & cant wait for the next update.
