Hi everyone, tried posting and the first one didn't save so retrying. Both me & my wife are building costumes from scratch for Halloween.
Modelling my one on Lucius Malfoy and my wife Michelle's on Bellatrix Lestrange, so far about 3 weeks in construction and going well, learned a ton of skills.
Below is my costume including the leather work we built by hand that took about 2 days to get right and a Jerkin that we sewed and fleece lined, cloak is also lined and hemed.
Wand holder modelled to accept one of the replica wands we bought at the Studio tour in England.

For the masks it was a combination of finding basic masks that fit our face then sealing them up and creating alginate moulds out of them, casting them in plaster and then using them as the basis to mould the more prominent features with clay, then using Worbla thermal plastic to mould the masks.

We then used a Dremel to smooth down the masks making sure to wear masks ourselves to stop us from breathing in all the dust. After that we used hot glue and bra straps to secure the masks to our heads and started to apply primer and begin the detail work.

Looking forward to showing off the project when we're done.
We did masks and costumes for We Happy Few a while back, really getting into this, so much fun.
