LOST Hatch Computer... Anyone?

From my researches, I know that the computer in the station 3 (The Swan) is an AppleII and the monitor is an AppleIII...
Now, I wasn't sure if I should post this in the JY or not, because I wanna ask if anyone here possess one of this old computers, or know someone who possess them, even broken, (or just the plastic "shell" and maybe could sell it...:D ) so I could "MOD" them to make it screen accurate...

Weird (and poorly expressed) question, I know, but I'm curious:)

Thanks in advance.

Already been there... There is something, but I'm also asking here because it's unbelievable how this community is able to find these kind of things...:D

ive been trying to get one for months.
The problem is, its not prop collectors its the 'vintage apple freaks' collect them too. They drive up the price terribly.

Also you have to keep into consideration teh cost in shipping one to you from the US if one is found here.

You cannot just throw away a monitor here as it contains chemicals in the screen, have to pay. Also I am not sure i someone removes all and just send you the shell if they can actually dispose of the guts.

I know...
I've also told you that mine was a weird question!:D

I think I should consider this an "almost impossible" task uh? I guess so...

Here's mine:

I have precise measurements of the monitor and computer labels. I'm having a set of Swan decals professionally made in silver & black colors. I have the accurate 70's era architect's desk lamp on order, it should be arriving next week.

Some things I need to do yet:
- disconnect power light
- remove right "shift" key lettering and apply "execute" key decal

Yes, this is the Elite Edition. It is to be kept in pristine condition. ;)

And no Swan hatch would be complete without this:

After scouring the internet I finally found and bought the same lava lamp used on the show. :thumbsup

That's awesome... too bad about the C&D.... guess I'll have to make my own.

Would be great at a party.

I just gave away my fully functioning AppleII Plus computer, exactly like the one you have on that first page of this thread. Complete with an Imagewriter I dot matrix printer, a ribbon-cord joystick for playing Spyhunter and Karateka, two 5.25" floppy drives, an external modem, and that green monitor, not to mention a ton of software I had for it. It had the 16kb memory upgrade as well. Simply didn't have room for it anymore.

Isn't that sort of a continuity error on their part (yeah, I'm sure there are many). That's a new, modern version of Lava lamp... Any 'vintage' ones would have the gold base and be much larger. I think in the 70's/80's there was only one type of lamp available...

Just nit-picking at the studio... :lol

I got an idea... I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of people who would dig having their own hatch computer... if you can find a kinda soul to start vacforming them - I bet that kind soul could make a buck! I don't know how exactly you'd do that with something that large and complex but i'm sure it can be done!

I had that very Apple II and monitor as well! It was my first computer. :D

Sold it in 1989. :lol

so have you given up on this?
Am sure with some pics -a vacuum formed version of both the computer and monitor would be easier and cheaper
