Lost Actor 51 marries his 16yo girlfriend

Here's the question .. if he's just now getting married to a 16 year old. How long was he dating her? And why are the parents okay with a 50 year old dating their 14 year old?
 
It isn't a typo. My gf and I are actually watching TMZ right now and just saw this on there. She is 16...although I have a VERY hard time believing that. She looks more around 26-30 to me.

The way I see it is....we all know what she wants. AND...we all know what he wants. They both will be happy for a bit, I guess, and ultimately she'll get whatever money he has and move on to someone else.
 
As I understand it, the girl's mother signed the consent form.

I don't see anything morally wrong with it in principle. 18 is a completely arbitrary number for age of consent and I have no doubt in my mind that there are 16 year olds who are more capable than some 18 year olds of carrying out the responsibilities of adulthood.

That having been said, I find it hard to believe that a 51 year old man can be emotionally and mentally fulfilled by a 16 year old, even a very mature one. I'm 27 now, and 27 year old me looks back at 21 year old me and facepalms. I suspect that Mr. Hutchison probably lacks some emotional maturity.

I'm also gonna go ahead and predict this won't last.
 
Interesting. On a side note I see the guy that played Son's father all the time. He is a Realtor in my area.
 
Want to bet her mom is seeing dollar signs thanks to this? Marry into a wealthy man's family and maybe you'll be set.
 
Imagine what she'll look like when she is 21 if she looks like THAT now...I mean, I'm 28 and I feel dirty saying she's hot knowing she is only 16 years old.

And I hear ya on the facepalming about oneself at 21. I'm in the same boat! I thought I had all the answers but man did I have a lot of growing up to do. I was dating a 27 year old when I was 22 and she thought I was a little immature at times. Looking back, I understand completely. It was around that age that I decided if I couldn't take my love interest out to the bar (which is where I spent most of my time) then she was too young for me. Now I can't even abide by that too much cause 21 year olds in my eyes are way too darn immature most of the time. This is just ridiculous, IMO....but I guess if they're both happy.....at least for now.......

With a girl like that, I'm sure he will take care of the "important" parts of himself if you know what I'm sayin' :love

Ok, again, I feel dirty even thinking like that about her. It's so wrong....
 
I tried to watch her music video today. He's going to have to use his acting skills to sound sincere when he says "Honey, you are SUCH a great singer!"
 
I hope their marriage works out as well as Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris'...Oh...wait...Damn.
 
Googled her name, all i find is this news, her website just says a 16 yr old, no real birthdate.

Some 18 yr old chicks say "Hi" to me a lot, but even though i'm 22 i think i'm too old for them sometimes. I'd feel more comfortable if she was 20, sometimes 19, thats jus me though
