Looking for realistic human hand

How did your search for a hand turn out?

I just got a pair of latex hands for my Highlander Ramirez from ebay.
One is a knife wielder hand, to hold his katana, the other is just a standard open hand.

pm me that seller whenever you get a chance. Thanks!

:lol

I have no doubt. A toe I don't need.

Here's the costume idea:

A regular average Joe kind of guy in a dirtied grey jumpsuit/overalls with a custom logo patch on the breast with a stylized image of Cloud City and the text: CLOUD CITY HVAC MAINTENANCE.

He has a leather toolbelt loaded down with tools.

Hanging clipped to his belt is a TESB Luke lightsaber with Luke's grisly, mummifed, monkey's paw-esque hand still clutching the hilt. :lol

That is inspired nerd genius at its finest! :thumbsup

VERY COOL!

How difficult was it to open the fist to accomodate the handle/hilt?

It looks in the pictures like it was a solid fist. How did you open it?

If you want to learn how to cast your own hand in silicone and make it look realistic (painting, punched hair, etc.), buy Vol. 4 of Movie FX Master Class DVD. The lesson is by FX artist Kevin Kirkpatrick who is currently working on the Zack Snyder movie "Sucker Punch". It's very informative and not nearly as complex as you'd think. In fact, he shows you how to paint it without an airbrush using chip brush "flick" technique. Worth the $19.95. It's a 3 hour DVD with 3 other lessons on it as well.
