Hey guys, I haven't been on here a while. However for those who do remember me, i have been told that i am finally getting my pred costume. The problem is, i need a plasma cannon and claws/knives for the gauntlet. My wife is 4 months prego so i can't spend a lot. I really need to keep costs down. If there is any way anyone out there can help me out, it would be so appreiated. IF someone knows of a cheap solution that i can do myself OR if someone has a bad pull of a cannon and was going to throw it out... i'll take it. I don't care if it has pits or things... i am just trying to complete my costume in time for Halloween. THanks for the help in advanced. please e-mail me at rcherian@ipdsolution.com if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

i madse them out of a piece of hard plastic drawn out them cut out with a jigsaw, the main blade holder was made out of a polestyrene block then carved into shape then covered in paper mashe to make it more metal like.

Those are good options. If you are just going for looks and are not going to be stabbing anything, you could make the blades out of foamies. Very cheap and easily reinforced to make sturdy. And of course, once painted, you can hardly tell the difference. As for the cannon, the best suggestion I had, has already been mentioned. Good luck!
