I am gathering parts and pics for a new blaster project.

Does anyone have pics to share?

Pics of the actual props and/or pics of your built up Alternate/GK blaster!

I did a search and all the threads I did find on the this blaster; the pics were no longer available! :(

Any and all help appreciated! :)

Okay.....

How about the scope rings? For the Screen used version.

Which size is correct the med or high base? I have the low base and they don't look right.

Here is one built on a Denix with fitted wood grips I gave to a close friend. I have yet to rebuild one for me because the MGC replica I planned to build it on has a peculiarly short barrel and I need to find some way to lengthen it before I proceed. I have all the parts, just need to solve that dilemma. Don't suppose anyone wants to trade MGCs? As is, mine would be a great base for the ROTJ blaster.

What do your scope rings look like? Medium or high base?

I'm not exactly sure. Its not in my custody any more, and I can't check it. I think my friend has it, and much of his collection, in storage for the time being.

Just wanted to add that the above link is really awesome. Vince/Corellian Exports knows his stuff. Shows much of what I do when I prepare a Denix for a blaster. I no longer remove the barrel/upper receiver from the lower receiver. I see no need. I like to use the polishing wheel on a dremel instead of sand paper to remove much of the surface pitting and a cutting wheel to grind down the pins in the grooves on either side of the upper receiver. I tend to use Aluminum Black to color the Denix rather than paint. But, everything else is about the same; removal of left side logo, cutting and grinding down the grip frame and affixing wood grips, flattening the nub under the hammer, grinding down the pins, flipping the rear sight adjustment knob from left to right, drill, tap and dye for the screws, and refinishing the surface.

In the ANH screen cap it looks as though the scope is actually mounted higher than the traditional press photo we see.

Holy thread resurrection! Those shots are at different angles so that may be part of it.
