My granddad was on an LCI in WWII and I'd like to build a model of it for him. The only ones I've found so far are only about 6" long. Anybody know of a place to get good WWII models? Thanks,
Thanks for the site. I looked but they don't have any LCI's. The have lots of other landing ships. Any LCI model would do. I'd just like one bigger than the 6" ones I've been able to find. Thanks for the help,
Not even close. The LcVP are similar to the ships you see in the begining of Saving Private Ryan that dump the troops on the beach. An LCI is more like a small battleship. I believe they held 200 men. They were used to clear the beaches and provide equipment. Thanks for the help though!!
You need to check for the out of production Lindberg 1:125th scale kit. Over at the www.steelnavy.com site they have a buildup in the gallery area. Ebay is probabily your best friend in this search.
