Not they typical model build here but i know you guys can help.

My son wants to build his first model with dad. He wants to build a Battleship. Are there any simple Iowa Class Battleship models out there. Something simple for a 9 year old to learn on.

If there are not any pre WWII ones? He would probably dig the Arizona.

Thanks

Iowa-class is a complicated model, no matter how you go about it. All battleships are, really, but the earlier you go, the easier it gets (less detail, for the most part). If you really want to do Iowa-class, you probably don't want to get much smaller than 1/700. 1/350 would be better, but spendier.

Thanks JM.

I went with the Lindberg 1/900 scale USS Missouri. Small with few parts. It will be a good starting point to wet his appitite on. Would like to build that Tamiya one for myself thought....
