So.

I'm looking to model a new thing.

I've not done a ton of stuff, but I *do* get engrossed in detail and like to try to make accurate models of ... things.
Any suggestions for something that's not be done .... (ummm, not sure how to phrase this)... great?

Only thing I've done so far is here: District 9 AR "Re" Build, v2

Keen to model something else, as I have some time on my hands.
Doesn't have to be a rifle, but hey, those are fun

Ideas?

Hey, appreciate the offer! A few things come to mind that I have wanted to get nice prints of and been unable to find:

Severance (TV): Conference room speaker
Conan the Barbarian (1982): The broken sword of Conan's father. Existing models vary in quality, don't have the break, and would be better in parts for easy painting and assembly.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015): A definitive Nux's raven bobblehead (none seem to be accurate).
Galaxy Quest (1999): An accurate Vox that fits the 2-3/4" plasma disc.
National Treasure (2004): An accurate Masons ring
Wonder Woman (2017): An accurate tiara (they're all wrong)
Wreck-It Ralph (2012): An accurate Hero's Duty medal
Cast Away (2000): The large handheld timer
The Lord of the Rings (2000-2003): The Elven Rings (no accurate ones available)
The Time Machine (1960): Model Time Machine (shrinking down the big one on Gambody is not accurate)
Scooby-Doo (Cartoon & Movie): Dog tag
Star Wars (1977): Decent Dejarik figures
Men in Black 3 (2012): A decent Time Jumper (in parts for easy painting and assembly)
Star Trek movies: A movies insignia that is accurate or idealized, and in parts for easy painting
Back to the Future Part II (1989): Doc Brown's future display glasses
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005): Movie version of the Guide
Dracula (1931): Dracula's original medallion
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951): Klaatu's gift
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001): Wizard's chess pieces

First off; that Wing-stick looks doable, draculas medailon would need more context/detail. Got a rough idea, but details. Deatails. Did I say ... details?

This seems to be the best pic of the actual prop:

There are lots of replicas out there, some more or less realistic, and more or less expensive. But nothing even close for 3D printing!

It's quoted elsewhere in the RPF that it was Lugosi's:

Sappers helmet from 2049, have wanted to print one for years.

Krugers katana sword from Elysium (lots of great reference pics and dimensions from propstore).

Smg from Elysium (also loads of pics and dimensions from propstore).

Besides the chemrail, this gun is generally referred to as the SMG. It appeared in multiple colours (gold, red, black) and was used by droids and humans. The design was the same throughout except for the grenade attachment which I believe was CGI'd in for one scene . Various pics available from the various propstores/auctions these have been in.
