Loki

I'm still surprised that not many paper props were posted here for this show. There were so many forms and posters and whatnot

Here's a crude layout of the TVA Official Handbook based on this image (taken from a video presenting the back in time McDonalds):
Image2.png TVA Official Handbook.png

I made this close to and A5 format and the cover (when open) should print at 263 x 210 mm.

In that video you can see a couple of posters from/with the movie:

And some photos (taken from several places):

Thanks RafalFett great work

I made the hard cover similar to my other builds, more exactly with 1,5-2 mm thick cardboard glued on plain paper to form the overall shape, then the final design was printed on matte adhesive vinyl and applied to the cover (some of these steps are shown in the photos). Again, the (fake) pages look was achieved with a 3-4 layers of PVC sheets of different thickness glued together, then cut to shape. The 1st page was printed on plain paper - I already added this to post #31 for you to use; maybe in the future I will add more pages when/if they will reveal some of the book's content.

I also cut all the letters from glossy metallic gold vinyl and with lots of patience (some of the writings are slightly above 2mm in height) I managed to add it to my book:
20231020_203813.jpg 20231020_203817.jpg 20231020_203918.jpg 20231020_203942.jpg 20231020_203946.jpg 20231020_203950.jpg 20231020_204237.jpg 20231020_204341.jpg 20231020_204344.jpg 20231020_204510.jpg 20231020_204512.jpg 20231020_204515.jpg 20231020_204554.jpg 20231020_204611.jpg 20231020_204624.jpg 20231020_204626.jpg 20231020_204629.jpg

You can see in the photos how the gold color shifts when it is hit by direct and indirect light.

Based on the alignment of the spine text from a better photo of the McDonald's exhibit and a replica prop used in a Disneyland promotional Instagram reel, it seems like "BY OUROBOROS" text isn't on the spine of the actual prop. I haven't been able to precisely identify the font(s) used for the text on the cover, but horizontally squishing Franklin Gothic Condensed seems to give a close (albeit inexact) match.

Thanks for the photos. The replica from that video is not accurate, because the code on the spine is bigger than on the original, and most of the elements are misaligned.
I used Franklin Gothic Demi Condensed on the OFFICIAL HANDBOOK only, but I still had to compress the writing to be accurate. For the volume number and BY OUROBOROS I used a font called TGL 0-17 and Helvetica (this was picked randomly) for the dashes between the letters and numbers.

Here's the cover with the spine corrected:

That's a really nice replica you've made there.
I'm planning on making one when we hopefully get a better look at some of the pages.
I made a replica of the Darkhold from Agents of SHIELD many years ago, got me into book binding, at least in an amateur way.

Thanks for the kind words.
Actually there are a couple of pages shown in episode 3 and a hidden feature of the handbook: a snap button or a magnetic strap (visible on both images, but clearer in the 2nd):

Here's a quick job (WiP) with the Ouroboros page:

I went with Corporate Condensed for the font on mine. I did stretch it a little and it seems to line up really well over the photo of the display prop.
I would be tempted to get a foil stamp die cut to really deboss the gold foil into the cover, but I think I will wait until the series has finished and have as many reference images as possible.

Debossing would be the best way, but it might be a bit costly for just one book.

After I further analyzed episode 1 and 2, I noticed that the strap with the snap button/magnet is not on the present day handbooks, only on the one from 1868, possibly added by Victor Timely:

If I were to invest in the die, I would likely do a run of the Handbooks to cover the cost, but I'd want to be sure on the font used before committing to the expense.

I agree, the regular TVA Handbooks don't have the magnetic clasp.
