Logan's Run Blaster

Hey everyone. I just received a Logan's Run blaster kit and am curious if anyone has suggestions on putting some kind of strobe or flash that would go off when pressing the trigger. On Starshipmodeler someone suggested using something called a Luxeon 3W LED. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm not the best with electronics. What kind of power source would you need for that? Someone also suggested that kits have been available on RPF before made by a member called Nicksdad. Appreciate any input on this thank you.

I wonder if there is a circuit that can make it linger and quickly flicker as the prop produced a flame that wasn't just a quick strobe or flash.

Yep, there have been a few builds in here using that set up, do a search and they should pop up.
