Yes, the fingers and thumbs are fully articulated. Except for the screws, the entire project has been done with PVC. As for hurrying it up - if I had my new hip, wasn't battling arthritis in my hands, was 20 years younger, had an inexhaustible bank account... you get the point. Thanks for your interest and I promise to post photos as I get parts completed.

I'm still working on the hands and I've almost completed the motor/shoulder blade components. Winter is still in full swing, so I'm trying to get as many parts completed as possible. Working in a cold garage isn't fun! Here are a couple of photos.

Hey, everyone! Progress has been slow, but things are really starting to come together. Almost done with the upper body now. Still a lot of sanding, grinding, and adjusting to be done though. Finished the last pieces for the upper torso today. The front spine cover and pelvis are next. The pelvis is going to be a real challenge.

OK, thanks. Given the age of the design (pre 1984), I am impressed they got the hydraulics on the hips worked out.
