I bought this resin model from Martino Catalano on eBay recently - I was the only one bidding so I got it for the opening bid, which was £90 less than what he charges on his website (Prometheus)

The model came painted - this is not my copy, but the typical paintjob from his site. It's not too bad, but the black slime looks pretty poorly done.
Because of this I requested a clean paintjob (no black slime). When it arrived, it was OK, but not great, or accurate - a pure white body with a heavy bright turquoise wash that pooled a lot, and a base which was entirely gloss black.
Pretty happy with the sculpt, but that Y shaped groove in the "head" shouldn't be there, so I filled it.
I decided to repaint it based on better reference material. First I went for quite a fleshy colour scheme as seen here:

And then I gave it a few washes to make it more pale/white as seen here:

Then I gave it a gloss black wash, as if it had just popped up from the black ooze.
And I painted the base MATT black, with matt browns and greys drybrushed on top, then painted only the pool area glossy.
And here's the finished results:
