Lifecasting on a budget

A friend of mine, knowing I frequent this site, has asked me to do her a favor. I need to make a plaster cast of her feet. Don't know why, not gonna ask, but I need to know what kind of materials I will need, how much they will cost, and what exactly to do with them so I can get an exact replica of her feet.

If ANYONE has any information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You want to use an alginate to do the casting on a person.
It sets up fast and is safe.

Check the local craft stores for lifecasting kits targeted at parents etc. I bought one a few years ago that was designed to cast an adult hand holding a child's hand. If you snag a couple of those, I think you'd have sufficient stuff to make the mold.

Keep us informed as to how it turns out. There's a place at the local Renaissance Faire that does lifecasting but they charge a crapload of money so I've been thinking of doing it myself.
