Wanted to post some pics of a Chewbacca I wrapped up a few months back for a board member here. I would have to say one of my favorite things on this piece is I was able to get the figure to stand without a base

Thanks for the kind words guys! I used National Fiber Tech for the fur. It is the best fur to get when making Chewbacca and if I am not mistaken the company provided the fur for the Wookies, at least the new ones. As for how it is made it is a heavily modified fiberglass mannequin that I glued the fur to. From most of the source material I read it looks like Peter is 7'3" and then with the added height of the head and any kind of shoes it made him closer to 7'6" so that is what I went with. Now with the with the figure leaning forward he is not that tall but that was my base measurement to go with That was something else I worked with quite a bit to get the overall stance and pose to look like a pose Peter would have done. In my opinion that is what makes Chewbacca is his pose and stance!
