Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. Batman Arkham Knight, REVEAL 10/03

Re: It's Official. We got the Batman License. UPDATED 5/11

Rimma, David,

Do you by any chance know even a ballpark price for the TDK jacket/pants?

- Douglas

Douglas,
We still hesitate to mention prices, or even offer up a ball park range because there are still so many factors involved in bringing 'these' replicas to life that until they're 100% ready...we just cant consider discussing anything of that nature just yet.
The good news is that TDK Batman Costume-Replica Leather Suit, as well as the rest of this Batman line are all just about done so prices, delivery dates, available sizes and anything else related to all these goods will all be made available in the next few weeks.

Is there any idea of what the jacket is going to end up costing the consumers? Even just a ball park so I can start setting $$ aside for one.

If you have to ask, you'd better start saving up now. :)

The question has been asked before and the closest hint we got was that it would be "affordable" (I'm guessing to the general collector public). If I had to guess, I would look at what a good motorcycle suit costs (such as a Dainese) and add a couple hundred for the license and added complexity. It all depends. If they make 100 suits, "affordable" might be under a grand. If they only make five it might be four times that.

Guess we all just have to wait.

TFrosst,
Thank you for your continued support and we're very happy to hear you say that. :thumbsup

Much deserved. I'm just really glad that someone who actually loves this stuff got the license and really is doing everything to keep it accurate and appeal to a wide market.

I can't remember if this was asked but what kind of leather are you guys planning on using for the Bruce Wayne jackets?

The Bruce Wayne Motorcycle Jacket is all Cow hide. Wonderfully distressed and 100% accurate to the screen used garment. A very cool jacket and one that Dave went to every extreme to ensure it done right.

A little more on TDK Batman Costume-Replica Leather Jacket/Pants...
The image showing the translucent plated Kevlar/leather armor is a section of the thigh, side view. Just as the screen used suit has the Kevlar, so does ours...:) Our image and the image of the real thing were taken at slightly different angles, so please keep that in mind when comparing the two.

Comparing the colors of the two images, ours is definitely all black but the different choices and techniques used in the materials still ends up giving us varying tones and dark color effects....which is quite exciting to see unfold. :)

Planning on going to see Melvin White...at 1502 Randolph Appt's? Then you better be sure to dress accordingly.

....every detail, stitch, method of overlay, colors, secret inner pockets and size is 100% identical to the Hero worn Christian Bale jacket from TDK....however all standard sizes will be offered. We're still considering custom orders for sleeve lengths and that sort of thing but no decision by Dave on that matter yet.

The camera flash brightens up the red significantly, but you'll see proper pics and all details at www.udreplicas.com very soon.

Sorry for the watermark....an evil necessity at this stage. :)

Very, very cool and just what i've been waiting for. Can't wait to try one of these on.

Do you think you'll have a few different sizes at SDCC or Toronto or just the one?

i hope you have one without the bat emblem and gauntlets for the more conservative rider.

i have a raven black yamaha R1 and would buy this jacket in a hearbeat as long as it didn't have the bat on the front and the gauntlets could come off.

Wow, beautiful bike!!! :love
While we do have other Batman inspired jackets (which also feature CE Approved Body Armor) that are more in line with classic cafe styled biker jackets.....Regarding this suit here and the bat emblem on the chest....our TDK Batman Costume-Replica Leather Jacket is supposed to be a movie replica :)..so the bat chest logo is standard for this garment as it's a crucial part of what ultimately defines and makes it this type of a 'Batman' Replica.

The gauntlets on the other hand may in fact be removable and that's more for practical reasons than anything else.
Once again that's a great looking bike, and it would be awesome to see you in our leather suit with that beast. :) TDK Batman jacket reveal is next on our list....so here's hoping you like what you see....otherwise there are other simpler designs too.:cool

WOW!
Lemme say, I'm REALLY excited to see these in the final stages!
I'm planning on investing in a motorcycle in the next couple months, so this might have to become a two part investment! :D

I did have a question about sizing... I know you're doing standard sizes, but are all of the pieces of armor going to be sized to the garments? Or are all the armor pieces standard and are used for each size. (IE: Armor set A is to small, armor set B is to medium, armor set C is to large) VS. (Armor set a is to small, medium, and large+).

That only concerns me because I'm a small guy and I would want to make sure that the outfit appeared proportional in all aspects. Otherwise, unfortunately I'm the type who would just not get it if it didn't fit like a glove because I'd over-obsess about how it didn't fit me right.
Sorry if you've already covered the answers to these questions, I didn't see them asked.

Hi Tsuyosa,

Yes we're sizing the armor accordingly. It's a daunting task, but we feel that in order for this to be an over all success...we have to be as attentive to size and fit as we are with anything else involved in bringing these garments to life. Comfort and ease of wearing are also on the top of the list. Getting it to look right is only one aspect...but getting it to look right, fit and work as desired in all remaining standard sizes has been our focus with this particular design for some time now. Doing one of anything in many ways is always going to easier .... but we have to be certain that hundreds more can be done, in all sizes and just as accurately as the first prototype.

We're almost there. :)

Thanks to everyone for the kind words...everything goes live at www.udreplicas.com in June.
The wait is nearly over....
