Let's talk Mandalorian Era New Republic Flight Jackets

Don't want to derail, but if Hasbro doesn't offer a "New Republic Pilot" figure set similar to the Imperial set that's out, they missed the boat, big time.

To follow up… based on the images I posted above, it does seem to be either a gold or yellow wolf on what I suspect is a black background.

Well I always think they should even though Hasbro tends to find something to screw up on most their pilot figures. The biggest problem in the past has been their continued use of preproduction A New Hope stills and Magic of the Myth images. In both instances had deviations that conflict with what is seen on screen.

So, I had the folks on Etsy do a blue/gray background (similar to his helmet deco) and had them use a non-metallic gold, think BSG patch color for the Wolf Pack patch. Really easy to work with and they can do it in just about any color you want. Everything is sewn on, just waiting for the New Republic chit for the back. I have a some in leather but most embroidered so a decent mix. Pics to follow.

Anyone know if this hat and the band is a found item or if it is custom? Or any good options?

The basic shape appears to be a style commonly referred to as gambler (or telescope).

However if it is completely flat on top without any ridge, then it is more like a bolero style like Cad Bane’s as mentioned earlier. And then if it that’s the case, it’s probably close to a high plains drifter style like this…. High Plains Drifter Hat Replica

So what I am wondering is if they reached out to a company such as this one who makes various style custom fit leather jackets and just had them alter their patterns saying make them without button holes, zippers, buckles, straps, wind flap, etc….
