Latex help?

I went to go use my RD-407 and the gal was half full and the top layer was sort dried so I peeled off top layer and the clumps and I went to see if I could mix it up a bit get it pourable again added some water figured since latex is usually water based boy was I wrong got it almost perfect then added one last splash and all of the sudden the whole batch in one sec turned from almost right to ricotta cheese haha like a solid ball haha.

Anyways has anyone been successful or have experience using just plain old Halloween liquid latex just curious before I go get more of the RD-407? thanks

I've used this latex with very good results on masks and molds. Quick drying with very little shrinkage.

It sounds like the ammonio may have evaporated, did it stink of ammonia? Have you left it open or in the sun? Never heard of that happening before. I've had latex go off in a bottle before.

Umm it still smelled of ammonia maybe the water and squeezing it thru my fingers released most of it I dunno it sure hates water tho maybe thinner woulda worked or more ammonia

Thanks spgfx I figure I should be able to get 1 mask per quart so 4 masks not bad for 60 bucks
