Large Scale USS Excelsior Class Ships - Whats out there?

Well, personally speaking, I am devastated by the extreme possibility that this whole kit is a scam. I absolutely love the Excelsior design and was looking so froward to receiving this kit, especially after seeing that laser cut alum dorsal. Now I am not even sure who or what kit that belongs to now.

There is still a very, very small part of me that still believes that Alex is legit, just way, way over his head trying to make this kit happen. I know you all will think I am crazy or dumb, but I just want him to come clean, either way.

And, the rants just keep on coming, as well as a personal attack or two. My FB messaging app was almost on fire from him earlier in the evening. He made some random comments about how the educational system in America is a mess and since I'm a teacher I guess that I'm part of the problem? Stuff like that, if you can decipher what the heck he's saying. I'm nearly at the point of just blocking him.

Talking to him is like wrestling with a pig; get you no where and the pig enjoys it. Block him and be done with it, he's not going to change into a butterfly and become a nice person.

Over his head. What he recieved from the 3d printing literally need very little clean up, need to attacted to his molding surface and molded. It was never intended to be built as he did. His putty work is very stub par so the thought of him disassembling his painted master scares me. Personally i think he wanted a replica for himself and scam others out of money and had no intention of actually produce a kit. Thought that way a year ago and the last year shows that. Constantly blaming others, excuses excuses excuses and a year later has an abstract uss mudpie to show for it. He has a similar mo with the ghost buster community as well. The guy has no honor and a complete lack of basic model building skills. And now he is pissed because he claims there is negative energy about him. The investor gave him a lot of slack for the past almost 2 years. They are investors as he claims which means they have a right to understand up to date progress information and if he was forth coming with real info he wouldnt have to make up fake info and pics and could focus on his working time then. The investors gave him over a year past the deadline i was told and he still has nothing to show. Now he is blaming other vendors because invoices were never sent to be paid, they were he did not pay for the services and these vendors were smart enough not to let him owe them later unlike other parts of the engineering team. The aztec templates cant even be started till he either gives lou the master or a cast which im sure next month will be another excuse and still no photo evidence he worked on it bc when a pic of what he actually has looks like hammered **** and the investors call him out on it to be told oh those are old pics. If you have money tied up contact paypal and your banks now all at once. The guy has fraud written on his forehead wishful thinking will not change that.

does this remind anyone of anyone?
  • Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance
  • Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration
  • Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
  • Exaggerate achievements and talents
  • Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
  • Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people
  • Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior
  • Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
  • Take advantage of others to get what they want
  • Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
  • Be envious of others and believe others envy them
  • Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious
  • Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office

Honestly, I'm starting to think the folks who ordered this need to report this guy to the Federal trade Commission on the grounds of Internet Fraud:

Also, the FBI has an Internet Crime Complaint Center for reporting fraud and other stuff:

it might be a bit of overkill here, but if he's taken all this money and is just giving excuses, then he needs to answer for it.

NO MORE BS.

Have reported to the FTC and his local DA and precinct as well. Thanks for the tip on the fbi fraud center!

I've reported him to all of those places. I called paypal and requested they at least investigate the company since they are holding firm to their time line for refunds. I sure hope the people who can take action from paypal get their money back.

My pleasure; I wish I had thought of it sooner!

Why I'm weighing in on this topic: while I didn't buy a kit from this guy, back when Yamato first released the 1/60 V.1 VF-1 Valkyries, (in the late 90's/ early 2000's) some scumbag ripped me off for about $150 bucks. While that doesn't seem like a lot (especially now!), my family was barely getting by. So to get it, I busted my @$$ to earn and save extra money, only to lose it to a cheap operator who told me what to go do with myself. Ebay wouldn't help because I couldn't get back into my Ebay account (I had to use my friend's computer as I didn't have a pc of my own let alone internet, and his computer died on him), and I lost the money by the time I was able to prove who I was and recover access to the account.

I never got my VF-1, and I NEVER forgot that incident

So now when someone decides they're going to rip someone else off, I take extreme umbrage with that.

Good! The more people who do, then hopefully the quicker they will act. I'm just so sorry for all of you; I can only imagine how much more this must be bothering y'all. :(

Just got a DM from Starbase101 asking me for my case numbers to use as "evidence" in filing his own claim for PayPal. Really, why mine and not yours? There's definitely something fishy about him, and that DM pretty much says he's with ATG. I'm more sure of your game now more than ever. Tell ATG he'll be contacted in due time, and thanks for letting us know who you support.

The naive stupidity here is stunning. Since Rangel apparently cannot READ, I had asked for the FTC claim number and DA claim number, not a PayPal claim number. DUH. I am filing my own PayPal claim right now in another browser tab. Honestly, this whole thread topic has completely derailed and I'm surprised RPF admin hasn't closed it by now. The last few pages of posts really should have been in a dedicated thread focusing on EAD rather than "Large Scale USS Excelsior Class Ships".

Nice try, I can read, you can't. Tell Alex hello for us, I didn't say PayPal number, but claim numbers for PayPal claim.

Starbase101 wants our claim numbers without getting his own

Your ignorance is right there in the screenshot, which doesn't contain "PayPal" anywhere in any of the messages - it was for BANK claim. In any event, my PayPal claim is already filed. Alex is sure to be having a crappy day today.

So why aren't you filing your own claims that would make a stronger case to your bank? Why do you require my claim numbers with the FTC and the DA? Making your own claims sends a stronger statement but you need mine? Why?

Your further ignorance is that my filing has to do with physical threats, death threats, and making false accusations of me making threats against him and is family. The stealing of my money is barely mentioned, so that's why I'm concerned when you ask. The money is inconsequential at this point, it's the felony crimes he's committed are what I've filed against him.

Dear Moderators,

Please do not delete this thread. I do understand locking it so no more responses are allowed, but I referenced this thread in my PayPal claim so that they could see all the evidence stacking up.

Thank you
