Ladies can be Iron Man too (everything but the shoulders, pg 35)

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (chest, abs, neck, bicep done))

I'm thinking I might switch the type of foam I'm using. I've been using the 1/2" EVA and for some parts it's great, it's nice and thick and sturdy. But for other areas, especially smaller details, it's almost impossible to get looking properly.

I love the plastazote I'm using, it's just got so much more give than EVA seems to.

I definately think you've got to mod the feet armour so they've got stileto heels.

I have to say that the stiletto thing wouldn't look as impressive, in my opinion, as just regular old strong looking armored boots. :)

@msleeper

Would it, would it really! Perhaps if you were as imaginative as my fine self, then yes perhaps it would be. I wasn't suggesting simply jacking the sole with a traditional stileto heel, rather a sleek mechaincal design befitting the aesthetics of the iron man suit. The point being to suggest an obvious feminine influence on the overall design. The alternative would seem clumbsy and overtly masculine. There, you can make a point without coming across as unintelligent. Just saying.

Well, to be fair, Laamberry is making an Iron MAN costume. It's not Iron Woman. Not Iron Girl.

So, the question you gotta ask yourself is this: would Iron Man wear stiletto heels? I doubt it. :D

I dunno man. He gets pretty wasted so I think you have to leave everything on the table, lol.

Anyone suggesting this needs to be "femmed up" isn't getting the point of this project. This isn't about going "Ooh La La! Sexy Iron Man!" It's about saying the costume is awesome and can be worn and made by anyone of any gender. In short, Ladies can be Iron Man too.

Plus, we all know Laam is a boy...with glandular problems. He's very sensitive about it when you call him a girl. He's got a mustache and everything, I've seen it.

If that's the case Matt, then I apologise for not reading any of the previous posts. I don't play by the rules, I make my own!

To make matters worse, if you look at some of the BTS pics of RDJ in the suit, he IS wearing huge lifts, that almost look like stiletto heels. So maybe it's not such a bad idea after all!!!

I am just going to leave this here.

Okay, this is far too blatantly obvious not to point out. What's with Pepper's camel toe'esque feet, those whoppers are verging on TMNT levels. Seriously? Nothing more to say I've lead this thread far too astray.

Rescue's suit is...just really not cool. I'm not super into the whole Potts-bot idea anyway.

Looking back through your photos, I'm legit in awe of the stuff with the smaller details. The thinner foam I've found (6mm I think?) is frustrating me. It came in a roll so there's bend to it that I can't seem to heat out of it no matter what I try. I put together the Mk 4/6 lower arm last night and it still looks really deformed after lots of heatgun'ing and flattening. I wish I could find the thinner EVA in sheets rather than rolls.

Hmmmm..I'm tellin' ya, switch to plastazote! It's a miracle material :D
