Ladies can be Iron Man too (everything but the shoulders, pg 35)

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

I'm glad I don't collect Iron Man anymore. That artwork is terrible. The eyes are horrible, all the lights looks bad. It almost looks like a sketch and not a finished piece of art. I'm not crazy about the Pepper suit either. Good luck with suit Laamberry. It's coming along nicely.

Looking great so far! Can't wait to see how it all turns out. :):thumbsup

Excellent work.

As far as the neck goes, are you planning on attaching individual sections to a cloth or polymer underlayment to allow you motion?

Thats the ideal. The neck is sort of up in the air right now actually, I can't decide if I want to truly articulate it or just cast it in something more soft and flexible

Keep comfort in mind when you're deciding. Neckpieces can get HOT. The greatest costume in the world isn't worth it if you can't wear it for more than twenty minutes without fainting (says the man who used to keel over regularly in his Muppets "Sweetums" costume! :) )

true that...
comfort is up there with safety.

I second that, it wouldn't be worth making otherwise. Then you could say your suit is, "To die for":lol
Anyway, great work on the helmet and neckpeice! Its comin along great!

Sweetums, lay your ugly head
Down upon your wretched bed.
Close your eyes and go to sleep,
Rest, you hulking heap.
Sweetums is so sweet and cute,
Go to sleep, you stu-pid brute.

Sweetums?? I'd love to see that :D
And you're right, I often forget to keep things comfortable and functional.I'm the sort who is just stubborn and pushes through if the costume is uncomfortable but I don't think thats going to fly with armor..

Finish strong LAAM!

I finished pepping the back and chest late last night and took some quick shots :/ I REALLY need a real camera, these are awful quality...

Looking great. You have a lot more patience than I....pep stuff takes a gift.

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

That looks pretty cool! I'm going to have to try doing something small first though!

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

Wow, great job on the chest. I take it the helmet is coming along nicely as well?

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

thanks guys :]

Nicely pepped chest and back, did you do it in one shot?

As in one sitting? haaaaa no, I only WISH I were that fast! I did these over the course of the last two weeks :]

It is :] been working on it all day-- tomorrow I'm getting my hands on a dremel so I'll be able to do some detail work and I'll post pics then

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

Nice Laam, I was also suggesting the Rescue armor some mentioned here, but the last pic of Chuey of Pepper is manly... Maybe a mix between the old and the new one? More feminine design of the Rescue armor of issue #29?

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (kinda pic heavy)

Forget mixing in the Rescue Armor or trying to be Pepper. I say keep going the way you are, it looks fantastic...and without the helmet on, you'll be the best looking Tony Stark out there (Besides ZenDragon).

...Now, the next obvious question is: how are you going to grow Tony's signature goatee? :p

Keep up the awesome work. If you carry over those skills from shaping the helmet to the rest of it, and keep learning as you go, you'll have one of the best suits out there...made even better by the surprise people will get when you pull off the helmet.
