Need some advice if anyone could help, I was planning on doing these in fibreglass but is anyone aware of any other casting material I could use that will be strong and durable

it if was me i'd probably do him in smooth cast 300 resin and do the finishing with rub'n buff...then do a wash patina.

Is that stuff hard wearing though, I want to use as a towel ring and if I make any for others they might wanna use outdoors

yeah the plastic is hard wearing...it's the paint job you'd have to worry about.
and if you made one for a towel ring it might be best to use a metal ring instead of the plastic so it doesn't break over time.

I was thinking cold casting in bronze and then use an actual chemical patina would probably hold up better than paint.

Well was thinking about adding a thick lacquer to it all, found a UK equivalent of that smooth on 300 at much better price, will give it a go :) thanks
