I can only speculate as to the OP's absense in this thread (he was last online yesterday, 1/8/2016 but has not posted since 12/9/2015) but I think perhaps he has recently acquired some issues with the RPF and how they allow people to sell here. Either that or he's afraid of being recasted and thinks that by not posting the files here, he has a better chance of not being recasted. Those are my guesses anyway. *shrugs*
He isn't selling anything, so that really has nothing to do with it?

He's active on the Facebook group, so I'm guessing he's keeping his distance from theRPF after the suspicious email he received about his files. I PM'd his a couple days ago with no answer, but he posted in the Facebook group on the same day. Who knows. I doubt he's intentionally ignoring anyone here.
He's also offering his files free to the community, and has (so far) allowed others to mod them to their own specific specs, so I doubt he's worried about recasting.

I added everything to my cart yesterday, but only the screws were available in metal of any kind. He mentioned another professional 3D printing business earlier in the thread, but idk if they can print it in metal either. As far as I know, no one has done this set of files in metal.
You could, in theory, download the files, then re-upload them and choose stainless steel, but judging by how much they wanted for just white polished plastic ($250+), I doubt I'd want to pay for a stainless version anytime soon.

The stainless steel option on Shapeways for these parts will run you close to $1k :wacko
I've got some stainless steel PLA headed my way to print the v5. It's supposed to work really well, so I'll be sure to report here. I'm also going to print Rey's blaster in the same filament :thumbsup

That's exactly what it is! It supposedly sands well and can be polished.

That sounds expensive but awesome. I've only gotten ahold of one aluminum powder casting before, but it felt leagues beyond just a resin cast.
EDIT: Does anyone have dimensions on his V5? I'm trying to do some calculations, but I have no idea how long/wide it is.
