Kylo Ren Fabric

it's not perfect but i'll be sending my notes with the sample as only the weft threads should have a spacing between them where as my sample has weft and warp threads with spacing

But it is very close.

Reno's fabric seems to have regular pattern. You have two basket threads. The horizontal threads are close to each other, but vertical threads have space between them. And it looks fantastic.

What a pain in the neck this is trying to find this fabric in the store in the beginning of summer

Just a heads up, I remember the material being very thin and see through when I saw it on display.. I took a pic of the light coming through the fabric, not only to see the weave, but to guess the density and weight.. I'll try to post the pic on here in a few!

I would like to point out that in EP II the cloak that Anakin wears is very similar in weight looking at this picture. ALL through the movie his cloak looks heavy and thick, but in the scene where Anakin helps Watto fix the droid head, Anakin lifts his arm and you can see through the material. Makes sense that the outter layer would be somewhat light. I would also like to point out that some material I purchased on here a few years back was identified as almost a perfect match to Darth Maul outter cloak fabric that I'm pretty sure the same fabric was used again for the EP II Anakin cloak.

Thanks everyone! I'm really glad that picture helps! I took it after circling the whole display trying to get a shot of light going through the fabric. It was so hard to see detail with te glass in the way, and the odd dark lighting in there. I'll post a few more pics that are not up close but do show more of the costume. I know there are a ton floating around, but I figure anything I can offer to help out at this point, I'm happy to do. When I put mine together eventually in gonna need the help of you fine people, lol.. So might as well do anything to help the cause!

The sample and associated documents went to the mill today guys so in a week or so we might get a sample back !!

it will be black and the coating will be done as a post process or possible left up to you guys

fortunately the mill is next door to a fabric processing plant so once we have samples i'll have the plant run a few coatings for us to review
