Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

First off, you must not know me too well as I rarely if at all post my opinions about films. And I would never jump into someone elses post and S*** on it. If we ALL read your post and thought the same thing then is it US or YOUR POST?

I understand that meaning sometimes does not translate well in posts, but that is what the smilies are for.

Thanks for your "positive" info.

Awesome Thanks. Good to know that. Keep up the good work.
I'll make sure to keep all of that in mind and use all those SMILEYS.
By the way, there was someone that got my post, go back and read.
Please believe me when I say in the Pantheon of Great Arnold Schwarzenegger Comedies this is, by far, the greatest one of all.
It was a misunderstanding, no one in this this thread was insulted, as no insult was intended. Time to move on.
Laffo.

Here's me and my old friend Laura on the float. I only worked on the movie for a few days but it was a lot of fun and Phil Hartman was gold to spend time with.

Laffo - it's all good. We're always going to take things the wrong way and misinterpret at some point or another in life - ***** happens. We all have our own way of helping. I guess the whole POS thing kind of made me tweak. I (and everyone else who is a fan) knows this movie was crap compared to so many other movies, but for some of us it's a soft spot. For me it's a sensitive memory.

I remember the day I got this movie on VHS. It was Christmas day and I just knew I was going to get it. Finally I picked up a present from my Uncle Andy - ripped it open, and I was ecstatic. I threw it into the VCR and everyone watched it and my whole family and I had a good time laughed and it made for the perfect Christmas.

Well unfortunately that was the last time I got to spend Christmas with my Uncle for the next 9 years. Flat out - My sperm donor a.k.a. my father, is a worthless POS scumbag. He accused my Uncle of raping my sisters and I and I didn't get to see him for almost 10 years. This movie was something I had that was always there to remind me of that time.

So that is the story behind my "obsession". I think I actually have a photo of me opening it or something along those lines - If I do I'll post 'em.

I also want to thank the people who jumped to my defense. It is much appreciated.

On a much brighter note - I came home today and found that I had a package. So I figured I'd share. Unfortunately, It wasn't every single graphic from the movie like I was told but it's more than good enough for me.

Woah! That's a hell of a story there. I understand why you like the movie now. I liked it too but mostly because of Hartmen and Sinbad.

Great Graphics - do I sense you spending some time at Zazzle?

Dude -

You gotta edit that post, I think one post with 53 pictures in it is more than enough.:lol

and as far as Zazzle - I honestly never heard of it until I Googled it just now, but I might if the prices are right.

Kyle...sorry to hear that tragic family story. Kudos to you on being able to accomplish so much, especially on this quest.

All The Best:thumbsup

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

Well after what happened last time I posted my WIP, I wasn't going to post anything until I had a final product but I figured screw it.

Here's a quick and dirty shop of what the final box is going to look like for anyone who is interested in seeing it and for people to compare to the Wal-Mart Box...

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

So how are you going to get the boxes made?

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

I'm slowly working on that. I don't really have any printing places out here besides the usual Kinko's and Staples. The real props used a stiff heavyweight card stock type material so that's what I am aiming to use, both for the boxes and the 5" Cardbacks. However, there is a paper supply company near me so I'm going to pop in there and see what they can do for me.

As for the plastic window, I'll probably use styrene sheets unless I find a better solution.

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

As crappy as the movie may be (and as miserable an experience working on it may have been), I certainly have to admire Kyle's persistence and I'm glad he was rewarded. Lots of people look at me funny when I talk to them about some of their old films, so who am I to judge. I should also add a "good job" to the guys who worked on the film that talked to him and sent him stuff. All too often, they get $ signs in their eyes and get greedy. Nice to know people still toss fans (regardless of what they are a fan of) a bone. I'm dealing with a guy on the RI who bought a rather expensive prop from the original maker, and now they want to charge him for providing reference photos so he can restore the missing bits. Kinda leaves a bad taste in one's mouth, so again, Kyle - congrats.

I looked around the office an found a couple of bits of Ahhhnuld, or as we call it - "Arnold on a Stick".

This was the head unit that we sent off to be cyberscanned for the digital work. At the time, we couldn't do full body stuff, so we cut up the body and sent the parts out as separate units. We used to have an arm around here somewhere, but I can't find it.......

Sorry to say that this piece isn't for sale. One guy has grown quite attached to it. I can take some reference photos of the helmet if they are needed for something. After all these years, the glue has dried out enough to allow it to come off the foam head. Arnold must have a small head, cuz when I tried the helmet on, I nearly sheared off my ears........

That is too funny. I was at KNB and helped to put together all the suits. Can't comment on the quality of the film, as I never went to see it! When we were at full steam there were a zillion suits and helmets on drying racks at the shop. We all wanted to wear the helmet for photos, but only a handful of the guys had a small enough noggin to actually fit it on properly!

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

Ok,

So I'm planning on having some plaques made and wanted to see what everyone thinks. Which color scheme do you like best?

These are going to be for my personal collection but I *might* include them with the first run. :angel

Envision them in Gold chrome and Fire Truck Red. Just like Turbo Man.

Style A (Plain and Signed)

I posted a thread looking for help here.

Let me know what you guys think.

First! First! The second hurts my eyes... when you have that much red going on it needs to be a deeper shade, but a deeper shade would pretty much negate the purpose of the color.

Re: Jingle all the Way Toys **EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATOR - PG.4**

That **** ain't Turbo Man red and gold... that's Radioactive Man red and gold! :p

"Ze goggles, zey do nothing!"
