I'm thinking about doing a Kyle Katarn blaster next. Does anyone have an blueprints or any info on the size? I figured I'd ask before I try figuring it out in case someone already knew.

No help at all, just wanted to say I LOVE the Bryar Pistol, and that DF:II JK was my fav game for the longest time.

Very cool! I'm probably going to use wood for the grip, aluminum or plastic tubing, and styrene for the details. I've got some screencaps and the pics from the Dark Forces books, but I haven't done any planning yet.

SVS, did you ever start this project? It is one of my favorites too. Even though I like this weapon in all its forms, I prefer this one:

Dave Dorman did this artwork on the back cover of the dust jacket of one of the hardcover graphic novels. I love the angle of the handle, like a sawed off shotgun.

I agree about that incarnation of the pistol, I've got that hardcover version and always thought that was the best looking version!

Regarding the measurements that chachov mentioned, please keep in mind that they are only my own interpretation of the scaling for that blaster. I used those dimensions only because they looked correct to me based on the size of the handle of the airsoft shotgun I used to build up the Bryar.

Yes, might be based on your guesses, but you have one of the best Bryars I've seen out there. The one I put together not withstanding. You did a great job on it man, well done.

Thanks! I was wrong I have seen that one before. I think I'm going to do something similar as far as finding an airsoft or toy gun that has a pistol grip that looks right and using that to build on.
