OMG...Lee (ralphee)..... THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU..

This guy actually did PORKINS in the cockpit.... :eek OUTSTANDING WORK...

As for the paint scheme,...let me get this straight,... did you mention that the canopy was green and the nose yellow, and... that it was actually seen in the movie in the previous post? :confused I would LOVE to see those pics. Are those the reference pics you are waiting for? Looks like RED 4 just became RED 6 on my list. LOL... I will replace RED 4 in the line-up later. BTW... anyone have pics of RED 4? Bob,.. you mentioned John D.. ... is that Dykstra? Hope I spelled his name correctly? lol.. probably not :$

On that note,.. were there any other screen used REDs? I want to make only the screen used X's at this time.

This guy (Peter is it?) did a GREAT job on this RED 6. Lee,... Please thank him for me and tell him "EXCELLENT WORK".

Thanks again Lee......DUUUUUUUDE... :D

No worries Kurt, but hey im just a messenger lol. 9. Raiders of the Lost Ark – 1/1 Scale Arc of the Covenant – Complete Scratch Commission[/b]

You're gonna have Richard do it...You're really gonna do it? Very cool. That one will be one for the Prop boards. I can think of no one better suited to sculpt the seraphim and cherubim and all that other gilt goodness that the Ark will present.

One question? Where the heck will Richard get the S.hittim wood? ( Yes, it's in the Bible. :D )

<div class='quotetop'></div>
Exodus 25:10-13 (KJV) And they shall make an ark of s.hittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof..... And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about..... And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it. .... And thou shalt make staves of s.hittim wood, and overlay them with gold. [/b]

Yup... I am having Richard go back in time with Doc Brown to get the measurements and the wood..lol.

Hey man.. just remember....YOU were the master behind this big idea... LOL.... And a great one it was.

Agreed... the Prop section is where it will reside when we get to it.

I think it was both our idea...collectively. That will be one for the books. Can you imagine that thing lit from below on a bier?

I'd imagine it would be filled with sand...

I hope you've got 'top men' working on it....

This is something I was going to make on my own one day but never had the money to do it right. I would like make it out of something like oak with gold leaf, then carve a real limestone sarcophagus with Egyptian hieroglyphs carved into the stone.

There's a limestone quarry near here where I can get the limestone slabs, good stuff too that was quarried over 100 years ago so it's nice and aged and perfect for chiseling. So when I'm finished with it, it'll look ancient.

Or I can do a replica type thing, it's up to you. I can attempt to make the real thing though, with all the gnarly powers and junk.

Kurt, check out this thread from our archives...

A bit of "board politics" on page one, but page two really starts to add some intriguing info, particularly post #31. Albeit, there are no solid conclusions or discoveries, it nonetheless offers additional insight and "food for thought"...

ALL the knarly powers/.. :confused ..... oh yes.... Pinky and the Brain WILL take over the world after all. :p

We'll talk more about how real it will be made soon enough.... I think our plate is a bit full. :eek

Tox (Julien)... When all is at a point to where I am feel comfortable to show it, I am having the artists and kit masters, (who have contributed to it's creation), over to view it all. I am stock piling all these pieces until the place to show them gets built. An FYI about that,... I am in the middle of a 15 owner "Block Legal War" right now concerning the largeness of the remodel I wish to build on my own land acreage. Begun, no less, than by the guy (a Lawyer) who currently owns the largest home in the area. Anyway, I won't discuss this any further in this thread as it is really not the place...blah blah blah... you all get the picture... So, Tox, there is pleanty of time between now and then for you to finish and take a break from your SD,... and then possibly build a new Studio Scale version for the collection. I would love to eventually have one of your scratch builds. I think both Richard and Bob will agree with me. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Goodness... I hope I am not sounding too bitter this morning? :$

GREAT Thread. Thanks PH... :D Anything else ever come of it? :confused

I am going to look at page 111 of Chronicles today to see the said pic containing Red 4 and 6. Did anyone actually see this Japanese Starlog Magazine with the yellow canopied Red 6? "MR" (not Master Rep.) sounded very knowledgable in your thread,.. I find myself wondering who he is? A great source to say the least. :)

This is good stuff. Maybe we'll get Red's 4 and 6 actually nailed down?.. Any pics,.. please post for reference. I will scan any I find.

Thanks again.

Looks like I am going to need somebody to scan in the pic on page 111 and post please... I laid the Chronicles book down somewhere and my old brain can't remember where.

Ive always stared at that pic on 111, just wish it was of a decent size, you can just make out 4 and 6's wing markings. Its a lovely spread on that table indeed.

That's gonna be great no matter how you do it.

ANOTHER BUMP UPDATE...

New items added or changed in post #1 of this thread in RED

I have decided to dump the idea of doing a 27" BOP kit and opted to commission Richard for TWO larger 1/144 Scale B'rel Class BOP's,... One of which will be built up by Bob as the ST III KRUGE Edition. At 1/144 it will be to scale with the next commission,... The Studio Scale Defiant. It will be around 22" from stem to stern and just over 33" wing-tip to wing-tip when the wings are in flat "cruise mode" I am having Richard get with Coby to create movable baffles so the wings can be postioned however I feel at the time,.. be it fully up... or fully down. Richard will be then building up one of the two he will master as the ST IV version with the "HMS BOUNTY" painted on the side. This project will be done in the exact order of the commission work I have for him to do already. He is not ONLY doing commissions for me as he has his own agenda as well so please DO NOT EMAIL Richard about the B'rel BOP's as it has only just been decided upon today and is not even in it's beginning stages. Aside from his other projects, per my commission work, the Defiant WILL be done first after Richard completes my 1701E. Then comes the ST TMP 1/350 K'Tinga Scratch Build AND THEN the BOP's.

The end of 06 and all of 07 are a FULL plate for Kuhn Global projects. God help Richard, Bob and John. LOL. That's alotta work with just my stuff,.. not to mention their own agendas...

As you say Bob.... "TOP...MEN" ;)
