Kryro's Ironman 3 Helmets WIP - Silver Centurion Added

Madosheet - well at the moment the faceplate still fits the chin perfectly, and the chin still fits the helmet - but its just the top part of the faceplate fitting the helmet, and I cant check it right now as the supports are still there.

Good luck on Heartbreaker - it would make you the 3rd person (IN THE WORLD ) to pep the file, as streetsoul is now having a go

That would be cool, would you be making the suitcase bigger than the actual flightcase so its a case inside a case kinda deal? or just make the front part, stick that on, side part, stick that on etc?

I shall, ill be putting on a 2nd coat of body filler either tonight or tomorrow afternoon, get it all smooth hopefully

hey made im working on a mk 7 and a mk 42 iron man and also on a heart breaker helmet

made007 - no the Centurion is nothing like the mk42 - its more like a mark 3, but with a different ear section, its got a headband instead of the circle ears, Click the Mark 33 in my signigture and youll see the shape of it

Well heres a couple of pics to show first coat of body filer on the 33 faceplate and YES it fits just perfectly on the chin

First Coat of Body filler before sanding - how beautiful it looks :S


But hell yeah, looks good so far on my books, not gonna lie, I was scared at putting filler on it at first, but paid off

And it still fits the jaw, so lets keep fingers crossed !

Did you ever body filler that extra MK42 faceplate in the end btw?

Naa I threw some primer on it and its currently on the top shelf of my wardrobe along with my mk42 forearm and mk42 shin ahaa

Well I'm all done in London gon make my way back to Essex and sit I am the garden and body fill and work on this other helmet

Madosheet - Ok im getting this body filler thing Down!! 2nd coat, and im pretty sure I only need little spots now on the low points, But finally ive figured it out, getting it smooth.

Started on the chin, then the sprinklers came on and soaked my back so I bolted, will continue with the chin tomorrow



How are you builds going, got a new helmet yet?

Yeah I saw, looking good man, really good yours will definitely end up better than mine, but ahh the grooves, fk that, I use the method Stealth recently put up for cardboard, but I use it for cardstock. Putting a outer rim on the bottom piece lol - makes things much easier for me.

nah man i still have plenty of time to mess up yet and all your helmets look awsome buddy i have total faith that you willl impress us all and yeh i was thinking of using that method myself with my armor

Kryro Damn, that faceplate is looking good~ Huge improvement since your MK7 one! Any tips I should know? ;D Also, that looks like some really neat fiberglassing inside your Centurion!

After watching Stealths video, I think I *finally* fully understood what you meant when you first drew that picture with the grooves for me! xD

Also, no new helmets yet, I ran out of card halfway through printing, and basically everything's been on hold...till tomorrow!

Madosheet - yeah I was thinking back to when my primary school teach asked what kind of learner I was, turns out im a learn-by-doing kind of person ahaa. Err tips? I started out with a file when it was in the just dried stage, get all the hard bits down with the file, then sanded like mad.

Thanks, I do like my fiberglass skills, although I still need to finish that helmet. Soon the centurion will be finished - its so cool to think of I need a decent painter though, as I don't consider myself a painter at all
