I definitely think the mk42 is a good helmet to start with, should make a build thread to keep us posted :)

Instead of using fibrous body filler you should use the normal one because it's cheaper and easier to sand.
I hope it helps :)

streetsoul, looking good as always mate, wait till you get to the chin ahaa, also are you going to pep the vents at the top because I've left them for now

Actually all my helmets have taken a time out as I'm working on a SICK commission helmet, still fiberglassing the Centurion and I'll file that down today hopefully get some filler o the it Friday
made007 use the measure distance between 2 points then measure your head and you'll find out sauer33 I'm not sure what that is, I'muusing a cheap one from Halfords that's very easy to sand

streetsoul Lol I looked at the pieces, and thought naa, ill put some aluminium pipes in there instead ahaa
Chin was STUPID even with the little grooves on the side of the part where the air vent goes :l - but I got through it, and so will you :D

Unfortunatly I cant say any details about this helmet for a bit, which is so annoying, because its amazing :( - when its all sent off and after I can ill upload some construction pics and then build a 2nd one for me :D

made007 - well aslong as those measurements in pep designer are just bigger than your head - I tend to leave 1cm each side for me, just after I put a bit of fiberglass and some thin padding

lol i dont plan to yet lol :) but at least when i resin it it will dry quick to :p i can get my mk 42 legs done then

I thought, hmm nice day to sit outside get a tan while doing something - so I thought YOLO, left this commission for a moment and gave the Centurion faceplate a first coat of body filler/sanding :O MY god I had to work fast - ive learnt a lesson or 2 since my failed mark 7 filler, ill put up pictures when I get a couple more coats on and it looks smooth as :D

@Madosheet and @streetsoul - DO NOT USE BODY FILLER IN THIS WONDERFUL WEATHER! - literally dries in 2/3 minutes

Thanks for the warning man!
With the amazing weather in the UK right now, which, can I just say TMI warning, constant betty swollocks :facepalm I thought 'great time to work on my helmets right? surely if I resin them it'll dry quick so I can do many at once...'
Opened my resin for the first time, poured it with the hardener and began mixing, and, maan O__o, in direct sunlight, I pretty much had a resin ice lolly in no time (an ice lolly/lollipop stick used as a stirrer with a hard dry resin block on the end, if my imagery wasn't good enough :lol)

Looks like my projects still on hold for now then, when I get some more paper I'll have to pep some more while I wait for the heat to cool a little.

Looking forward to some pics of your Centurion Kryro! But even more so of whatever your commissioned one is, now you've teased us but not told us ;)

Madosheet - ahaa, I hear ya, im travelling most of this week aswell, and today the trains were literal sweat city :l
Omg im so nervous about this body filler, for 1 its my 1st time filling since the dreaded mark 7, and 2 the helmet is still in 3 complete pieces. So I pray to god once I finish fiberglassing the actual helmet part all the sections still link up

Pep some more?! bloody hell ahaa, which you going for next?

And oooooh I too am excited as to when I am allowed to reveal my commission :D - ive only done about 1/3 but its still been the most fun pep for a certain reason. *LEAVES YOU HANGING!*

I know, I know more pep(!) I feel like if I cant make progress on the helmets I need to do other parts xD

I have a crazy idea that I don't know if it'll work but maybe the heat is just getting to me - I recently bought a new flight case for my camera gear, and I thought...would it be possible to pep the MK5 briefcase file that, I think Syrus created...and attach it to the outsides of my flightcase...even if it's not real life practical, I just want to know xD and that file doesn't look hard.
Or I'll pep the Heartbreaker and see if I can get it to your standard :D

I'm worried for you about your Centurion! It looks so good already, would suck to see it not fit back together. But if it works, that's a great way to do it - I didn't put any of the supports in my Centurion and it's just clipped together atm, but keep us updated on how it goes~
