Thank you Three65, Since its amazing weather here in England at the moment I will stop pepping helmets now and focus on body filler for ONE of the helmets, I will also fiberglass the rest so they are ready for body filler.
I believe I will fast track the Silver Centurion to be body filled first, as the pep is so smooth already I believe there will not be as much aesthetic filler to be added, maybe 2 thin coats, then primer
I hope your Heartbreaker model is going well, I wonder if you can make the method thought of how to open the faceplate for the heartbreaker work

Kryro you seem to be the helmet master so I thought I would ask you what you do for pieces like these.
This example is from the mark 42. I asked Streetsoul and he gave me some good advice, but I thought I'd ask you too

Program - its like twiiter just do an @ symbol before someones name.
Right ok, explaining time:
With the eye piece I actally cut off the eye itself and respectively all the eye ajoining tabs such as:
So all I have is the rim around the eye, so later once the helmet is resined you can add the electronic eyes easier, without cutting anything out
With the Grooves, I completely Change everything! instead of making the Groove walls and base and then attaching that to the top I effectively remove the walls and make the base wider
1st picture ignore the 3/4 pieces stuck together part. (made this pic for a friend ages ago)
Glue along the Red contour and then stick the top section onto the new wide piece lining up the side of the top piece with the line on the original groove
If that picture makes sense that effectively rues out this piece
The other 2 thin pieces unfortunly theres no way around them, im not sure what pare of the helmet that would be, maybe the top of the head?
Anyway, the way I do it is to score the grooves with my blade, then I fold up the valley folds first, then using my thumb and my other thumbnail I fold down the mountain folds, so you get the wall you need
Does this help? - my method does involve a lot of simplifying, as I do not care for any thin pieces, and yes I agree there are stupid pieces in the mk42 but hey ho

No not really (I assume your talking about the base of the groove?) I should have painted this:
I literally just stick the top panel onto the whole side of the new groove, as the sides line up anyway there as no need for a tab - ill dig out my old v1 faceplate from my mk42 and take a picture in a minute - Do you have any pictures of your build or is this questions before you attempt?

no no i like to stay true
im gunna stick with jackies files but not only that halageks files are for foam buddy and the only part ill use a foam unfold is for the abs but he has done a great job on the files ohhhh on the plus side ive just printed out my heartbreaker hehe gunna give that beast a go

well he says the backs near completion so hopefully get that on the go but i supose ill do all the body filler , and finissh my mk 7 lol also im gunn start the heartbreaker aswell well the helmet then the suit and finish my gemini aswell helmet

Have you got any files for the heartbreaker suit? or still just the helmet?

nah some of the parts got warped so ive only got the helmet and neck left lol and nah no suit files just helmet at the min but yeh plenty to do and plent i want to do

streetsoul, do you know what causes warping? also what stage did they warp, were they fibeglassed? That's a fear of mine too.
Ahh I may redo BSD's mk40 helmet - for some reason I don't like it right now, nothing is wrong with it, but maybe its just bevause its the only helmet that isnt resin-ed but I need to fi it whatever lol.

yeh lol i dint open the door when i had my dryer on so they soaked in the moister and got floppy and it only happens in the paper stage man lol wasnt happy man and i thought you did good with that helmet man
but yeh you should resin it lol

streetsoul - Yeah the pictures on here look good, I liked it then - but since its been a while and I never resined it - and because theres no lip on the helmet itself there no way to clip it on, so things are just out of place. its also just dawned on me that I havnt finished it. Theres no ears or back vents in it still lmao :l
