Kotobukiya 1/100 Metal Gear REX

That turned out jaw droppingly good. I like the use of depth of field in your shots too.

As for the plastic crumbling, very odd indeed. Did you primer before painting?

thanks guys

The pictures i took with my 200mm Lens lol
and yes i used some Halfords Plastic Primer, use it on all my models, never had any problems before

Gorgeous photos! camo and weathering looks really nice! Congrats!

Im starting this model too, do you have problems dissasembling the model for painting? some parts in the legs snaps really tight or it's just me?, any advice?

Thanks!

Hey MG, thanks

I didn't really have any problems taking the model apart aside from the plastic degrading as i mentioned, but i think that some kind of chemical reaction with the clear coat or the primer

I love your paint variation. Was thinking of purchasing a REX myself. Does it come highly recommended? As in plastic quality, mobility, stability in pose...etc?

Andy3E , That paintjob is sick! Care to share a step by step guide?

I want mine to turn out just like that! :)

You got some talent dude.

I managed to find a free digital camo pattern online that i want to look at, it was hard to tell if it'd work on rex. I noticed in MGS4 Hal has a rex model on his desk and the railgun looks different than in game unless they were able to refine the graphics since the first game.
