Richard Matheson wrote a script for a third movie, "The Night Walkers", which was to be about Zombies. But Darren McGavin was so upset at how the tv show was treated by the network that he refuse to do it.
David.
Actually the 3rd unproduced TV movie was to be called The Night Killers and was about politicians being replaced by robot doubles. It was going to be set in Hawaii
Maybe it got turned into Futureworld, the sequel to Westworld. As that is the plot.
I was very young so my mom wouldn't let me watch it. However, there were a handful of times I did manage to catch it. The one that sticks out in my mind was something about mannequinns coming to life...?
You'll never know if you don't try.I passed on the boxset that was out years ago- I think I'm worried that my love for this show as a kid might not stand up to the test of time.
Im still not sure whether the "Tyrell Corp." in the Mr. Ring episode was the inspiration for the Tyrell Corp. in Blade Runner.
You'll never know if you don't try.
But I know what you mean; there were several shows I watched as a kid that didn't pass the test of time. Fortunately, even as a kid I knew Kolchak had some weak episodes and that the series overall suffered from Universal's standard practice of making every production "on the cheap", so the box set lived up to my memories. And Darren McGavin's performances in every episode are worth watching--he was the show.
