Kingdom Hearts Keyblade

Hey everyone,
Tonight I decided that I'd make a try at creating metal, realistic sized keyblades from the game series Kingdom Hearts. I know theres some props already out there for sale, but those are usually made out of wood and are pretty off.

Here's a picture of the rough draft of the Keyblade, tell me if you think its sized correctly. I know it looks sort of stubby, but I used the dimensions I got off a video game screen, so it should be accurate.

What do you think? Sorry for the measurements and stuff at the bottom, Im not too good with engineering programs.

My son and his friend are impressed...

They say though that there needs to be a loop for the chain...and the handguard maybe a bit thinner (width wise, meaning the thickness of the depth).
There's also some detailing where the blade meets the handle.

Here are some pics they found for you. :)

Wow, thanks for the picture. I was having more trouble than you'd believe finding the detailing.

Well you be making Sora's keyblade or will you be creating other versions as well.

I would love to see and maybe purchase a metal KH2 King Mickey keyblade.

My first try will be Sora's, although it looks like Mickey's is just a flip of colors. I cant imagine it being much harder, although I'll have to try to get some screenshots of the keyblade.

If you've got any, or preferably conceptual art or a comic shot like above, then it'd definatly make it easier.

I love Kingdom Hearts, so I'll be following the progress of this. Best of luck; I've seen some really bad ones on eBay, so I hope that someone makes a good one.

Well, I sent the model above (plus a more detailed blade) to the machine, so hopefully I'll have a real-life model in a week or two, pretty much whenever I can get to my workshop next.

My next draft I'm going to try to put more work into the handguard, hopefully have the end slant and taper off near the edges, give it a personal change. That'll do murder on my wallet, but it'll sure look good.
