Looks like you can own a hero screen used batmoble is you have 375,000.00 laying around.

Go to eaby and search batman, use "highest price" as the filter (not sure we can post auction links)

Yeah, that doesn't look like a hero Batmobile to me. Based on the side mechanics and the ole' upside down turbine shroud I'd say its a replica that I've seen before. Blurry photos, mispelled words....come on at least TRY!

Whenever I keep reading "real deal" in auctions I start to :rolleyes

Looks OK to me XD As long as the guy has verifiable paperwork. For all we know the changes could be from repairs or parts getting replaced later.

I have read before that the Keaton Batmobiles had Chevy Impala chasis. Which year chasis did they use?? Any specific?

I remember that after the movie was released, MTV gave away a replica Batmobile. Could this be it?

The poor grammar and lack of feedback gives me pause. The greeblies on the side look wrong. You would think that an auction starting at 357,000 dollars would cause someone to take some professional pictures.

I’m not buying it… literally and figuratively. Not that I could afford it, but if I could I still wouldn’t buy it.

From what I heard, there was only one (hero) Batmobile made for the first film (1989), but I am not sure how many were built for the second (1992).

from what I can remember the origional 89 batmobile was purchased from the studio by a saudie prince for his car colletion for a lot of money years ago

Didn't Mike Tyson buy one of them? When I was in Vegas I heard he bought one of the batmobiles not sure which one though.

Last I heard one of the TNMT creators owned it. It used to be in THE WORDS AND PICTURE MUSEUM in Northampton, MA before they closed it down.
yeah, that's kevin eastman. i'm pretty sure his car was from RETURNS. from what i remember, he sold it at auction a few years ago.

The original hero car from the first movie is still at Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers unlike Disney or Universal really take care of thier vehicles. You can pay for a VIP tour and see the Batmobiles they have in their warehouse at the studio. I know they have the 89, maybe a Returns, a Forever, B&R and a Tumbler. The MTV car that was given away was a promo car made for the first movie, that car is now in a Museum in Roscoe IL, named Historical Attactions. There were a handful of Batmobiles created to promote the first film. Jay Ohrberg did the work on the vehicles for the second film and Jay made a good number of Batmobile replicas for museums and promotional work. Then other builders have gotten molds or made molds, so there are a good number of 89 Batmobiles out there.

As for this auction, the photos suck... who would ever spend that type of money with a listing like that?? I'll have to see what some of the batman websites are saying about it.
