Jurassic Park

The one on the left with the red vines on it?
Some one did the graphics for it a few years ago but I think it was a one off.

I thought I had seen it in the paper props thread. I'm not even looking for hi res, just something for a texture. If anyone can help source that file
that would be great :)

It is an advertisement or promotional material for Miles Laboratories. I have not been able to figure out any more than that.

Thanks. It may be a a magazine or flyer but it's the pink cover with a vector style grid on it (I attached a screen cap).

I did some research on this a few years ago, but I didn't get very far. See post #290 back on page 12. (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=68579&page=12&p=2623037&viewfull=1#post2623037)

All I was able to find out was that Miles Laboratories was a division of Bayer and was consolidated in 1995. I emailed Bayer AG (the parent company of Miles Laboratories) as well as the Elkhart County Historical Society (Elkhart, Indiana is where Miles Laboratories began and where the company's HQ used to be) to find out more about Miles Labs, but I didn't receive any response.

Finally got TB-7021's Jurassic World brochure. It had been in transit since July 26.

Hey guys, to those who have the original Universal Jurassic World map, can you tell me what are the writings on the small map of the park?

Especially these parts, I can't find them anywhere. And it would be fantastic if you post the signs circled in blue.

Something I am working on is a Print copy of John Hammonds Memoirs. They're available on PDF but I think it would make a cool "prop". It would be a readable "book" though it's short so I am trying to think of how to fill pages. Also might have to contact Trescom since they have a share policy but selling is not permitted (I wouldnt sell it but doing a run might be hard to do)

Anyway here is what I have so far. Whats a good way to do the pages? I am using photoshop right now *Noticed some spelling errors..I'll fix them! lol*

Thank you!

I am debating on if I should put a Dinosaur footprint header at the top?

Also, does anyone know the name of the book Ian Malcolm wrote?

Edit:

Just updated the cover and made this real quick :D Decided it would be easier to make the book soft cover

Thanks for sharing that photo! Too bad you only got my first version of the brochure there, but I am very satisfied with how close I got with only a few pictures of the original.

Well, here is my take on the Miles Laboratories ad that is shown on Nedry's desk. It's pretty much impossible to tell what the movie version says on it, so I have taken some creative license and put together a version of what I think it might have on it.

After a little research, I discovered that back in the late 80's/ early 90's, Miles Laboratories manufactured a cryostat/ microtome machine for use in medical labs called the Tissue-Tek II model 4553. I figured that it was plausible that Jurassic Park would use such a device, so my Miles Laboratories ad is for that machine. Most of the information I used on my ad are the actual features and specifications of the Miles Tissue-Tek cryostat.

This is more of a proof of concept more than anything, so the precise layout may be a bit off, and I may have some spelling errors here and there. I also just made a guess as to the size. My version is roughly 13"x13". Other than that, do you guys have any ideas of what might make it better?

Love it.

One thing I'd do though is justify the text so it's not split between lines and square it all out nicely.
Awesome job.

I also think I'll straighten the vertical pink lines a bit. They lean a bit too far to the left.
