So, I've been REALLY lousy with project updates/pictures.
I now have a driving jeep and have entered the preliminary body work phase. It'll be rust control work. The body panels are mostly good, but there's a little bubbling in the paint which means rust. I need to make sure it's completely taken care of and then of course paint. The rest of the rust (bottom of the tub, ie: the floor) isn't too bad but I will need to cut out and replace the floor pans in both the passenger and driver floors. PLENTY of perfectly good material to weld to though, so for someone who knows what they're doing it should be pretty straight forward. For the tub, once the rust is handled I'm going to coat it in a rust inhibitor (like Eastwood Red) and then Herculiner before adding back any carpet to ensure I don't have that issue again.
Looking for body shop suggestions. I *KNOW* we have some Ontario body shop guys here, but I'll be damned if I can remember who you are. Any help appreciated!!!
Why do you have to be in Canada? Being independently wealthy (yeah well sort of) I would have been only too happy to pretty her up for you. Ive been doing my own cars and vans for over 20 years now as well as friends vehicle from nut and bolt restos to race engine builds, full resprays to mop polishing. Also I saw these if you havent sourced any yet. Door emblems for £25 a pair.
